Guest guest
The Science and Benefits of Acupressure Therapy Acupressure therapy is gaining popularity over other conventional treatments during the recent years. I have tried to cover science behind this therapy and its benefits to the human body. It seems unbelievable that the diseases are cured by pressing some external points on the body. But, it is true and based on principles of science. Many experiments have been performed on this therapy by scientists. The outcome of all these experiments have shown that there are special types of cells, known as Bongham cells, located on various meridians of all the vital organs, working as the carriers of the Pranic energy flowing through all the meridians. The particular organ of the body develops disorder if flow of pranic energy cells is restricted due to blockage in the meridians due to the imbalance between Yin (negative) and Yang (positive) forces. While giving pressure on the selected points on human body, these cells become active increasing the flow of Pranic energy, thus resulting in curing of that organ. This is totally a scientific phenomenon and hence, the treatment is very effective in most of the diseases. In addition to this, scientists have proved that the human body generates Lactic acid due to various physical acts performed by our body during daily life. This Lactic acid creates stress and fatigue. The excess generation of Lactic acid results in to disorder of the organ. The acupressure treatment converts this Lactic acid in to Glycogen. This gives lot of energy to the body and the curing process sets in immediately. Many people think that the effects of acupressure therapy are only psychological, but it is not true. This treatment definitely gives pain killing effects, natural sedative effects, immunity increasing effects, and also increases the health of the mind. It also makes your body muscles stronger and can be of immense help in diseases like polio.
