Guest guest
Opps. I forgot to add the NVIC website: www.909shot.com > > Kathi from the National Vaccine Information Center is here > and welcomed. The NVIC is mentioned early on (EOH p 32). The NVIC > website is the best source for vaccine information and vaccine focused > advocacy. Guest guest
Kathi and Barbara Loe Fisher will probably never know exactly how many people they have helped, but my family owes an enormous debt of gratitude to them -- as well as to Safeminds and other groups and individuals that carried the torch later on. Their warning allowed us to get testing and treatment for our son, and limit further mercury exposure. Whatever advocacy I do is an attempt to return that favor by helping others. Guest guest
Lenny, Thank you for your kind words and kind introduction. I want to let everyone know that you can go to the NVIC website and actually calculate the amount of thimerosal your child received. Take your child's vaccination records and look for the brand name or manufacturer's name and the weight of your child the day the shots were given. My son reacted to his 4th dpt shot in 1982 when he was 18 months old. I never gave him another vaccine so he only got 4 dpt, and polio vaccines. At the time we did not have hib, chicken pox. hep b prevnar etc.I refused the MMR after his dpt reaction. He sat right on the border of the spectrum with a diagnosis of minimal brain damage accompanied with bowel problems, sensory issues, learning disabilites and attention problems. Don't ever give up hope because my son graduated from college last year with a degree in communications and public relations. He is also getting married in October. While this has been a very long battle, I am so thankful for the people I have met along the way who have impacted my life. Every mother and father who have stood up and fought for their children have amazed me. The wonderful medical professionals who have put their lives on the line are truly inspirational. The journalists, like Kirby who have dug in and written about vaccine injury and death are trule heroes because the written word will live on. Guest guest
I recently heard these 2 remarkable women speak here on Long Island. I wish I heard them speak when I was still pregnant but my daughter is now 5 (6 in June) and she got all her vaccines on schedule (if I knew then what I know now! but like my mother always says " would of, should of, could of--don't dwell on mistakes of the past " ). I now take the knowledge I have on the topic of vaccines and Thimerisol and spread the news to all my pregnant friends and family members. I send out a form letter that starts off saying " I wish someone would have sent me this letter when I was pregnant! " Some still think I am crazy (the vaccines are good and cause no harm) I try to convince them to just read what I have read and they would be convinced. So far I have reached several parents who now FINALLY question the safety of vaccines. Some are still going to vaccinate but are checking the labels for Thimerisol. I also am reading Kirby's EOH, mostly at work where I can read in peace and quiet (sometimes, I work in the Emergency Room so on slow nights I sit and read). I love reading this in front of the doctors and other nurses--always a great segway into talking about the dangers of the vaccines. One doctor now agrees with me and she is starting to question the Thimerisol topic. Changing one mind at a time!
