South East England - Independent High School - S&C Intern Wanted

The School in question is based in the city of Canterbury, in Kent England's

largest county.

It is a small Senior School with around 460 pupils aged 11-18 years who play a

variety of sports through the academic year.

The school is regularly represented nationally in Field Hockey tournaments and

has recently developed an appetite for Rugby Football which it is hoping to take

further.

The school is looking to enhance its sports provision and view the appointment

of an S & C Intern as a positive step.

The Intern would be expected to offer advice and coaching for pupils throughout

the day and during specific periods. He / she would also be expected to

co-ordinate the S & C of any teams staff wanted.

The school runs a sports scholarship programme where scholars are expected to

pursue personal aims and ambitions, ably supported by the sports staff. S & C is

an integral part of these scholars' development and personalising programmes

would be a key feature for the older pupils on this scheme.
