Guest guest
, No problems this time. Just waiting for it to absorb a bit more before I pull it. Much, much better than last time. Guest guest
It went fine. No. He's eight and kind of interested in it and kind of would rather just sleep during all of it. I'm hoping that in the next year or two I can get him more interested in setting it up himself. If Bri goes on Subq, I'm sure that he would be responsible enough to start doing most/all of it himself as soon as he was comfortable with it. I think the earlier a child is trained to take care of their own medical needs (with a watchful eye, of course) the better able they will be able to handle things themselves as they transition into adulthood. I'm just waiting a while to see if Sam starts showing an interest. In a couple of years, if he hasn't, I'll start working to peak his interest. But at eight, and where he's at maturity wise, probably best for mom to do it for now. Hope you guys are doing well. When is Bri's next IVIG??? He has performed his own strep tests, suction (starting the day of his open heart) and removed his own catheter. I think he's at an age where it's very important to him to take some of the control back with his health. I'm sure Sam will start wanting to do things on his own, too. At eight, Bri wasn't into it, yet. The next IVIG is this coming Friday--March 4. Sandi, Mom to , age 12.
