Guest guest
kirk, Have you ever heard of a PFO it's a small hole in between the right and left ventricles of the heart that a lot of people are born with but as we get older, in some people, these holes get bigger and one of the major signs that there is a problem with this hole is headaches that nothing will touch. There is a test that cardiologist do called a TEE that can see if you have this or not. It might be worth looking into. It could be that you have both stills and this other problem. We have a friend that has this and he can't get rid of his migraines without medical maj. He may have a surgery to close this hole up. There is a headache clinic in Michigan that works with a cardiologist that specializes in this. It's in Ann Arbor. It might be really worth looking into. Anyway - just something to think about. Good luck - hang in there

Guest guest
Kirk, I too am starting kinerete..one shot a day.  and I got the medrol and methotrexate again after this last flare up..keep me informed on how the kineret goes for you Diane..42 p.s. $270.06 for a months supply..and they dont know if it will help...I am looking to see if there is a program to get it free...there was one for enbral but that wasnt helping me Update Apparantley I'm in a major flare. The reason my RD wanted me their this morning is that he will be off for the next 3 weeks, so I owe him on that one. He wants me to start on Kineret (another roller coaster ride from hell??) along with jacking my prdnisone through the roof for a short time. He took countless x-rays and gallons of blood. All went well until the ride home (I made it there this morning quickly....102 miles in 78 minutes...a rather slow pace by my standards!) but on the way home my headache was in top form and I had double vision the whole way. It took me just over 3 hours to get home as I had to keep stopping....that or wrap the wifes' car around a tree or something like that. Now I am going to lay down for a bit, and hopefully will be able to go to the football camp tonight. I only slept 2.5-3 hours last night...and I'm paying for it. -- Everything in life sucks except things that should!

Guest guest
Marty, have you ever applied for assistance? I know it is probably a dumb question, but seek out everything you can! I was quite successful prior to getting Stills only to see almost my entire lifes' worth disappear in real short order. Now I am grateful that there is at least some helpfor us out there, but they sure don't make it easy to find. My current 'script costsince January until 5-31-08 was already over $6,000.00!!! There is no way possible that I could pay for even 25% of that. I feel for you man, I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't get it as I'm a total mess, and have been for as long as I can remember. Get on the phone with your State Health Agencies, call the pharmaceutical companies, call your state Reps & Senators..whatever it takes. I'm just hoping that I don't go downhill like I did on Enbrel, but my RD held off as long a he could with me taking these things. Guest guest
good old calif. as they take into count for the county what my step son make and what the other step son gets in ssi. even tho that is not my money and the ones has nothing to do with the house as it is so small he can hardly pay his bills but come dec when the other one loses his ssi things may change. they also count there money but if there over 18 they do not count as people your taking care off . but then again I live in one very poor area and there is so so many on the help or trying to get it and being a white male I have seen the ugly side of discrimination. as a white male under 50 I have been made to feel I should be working even my SSI lawyer told me I would get to see and feel it boy was she right!. when it is all said and done food stamps are out because what the kids make even tho it is not our money or the houses and they give what they can but it its very lite and on only give because we charge him for rent as he dropped out of collage . but he is the only one that never gives extra and to be honest I would not care if he left and being a step day I hate saying that even my son who is not working no income gave us part of his tax return and all of his stimulus check but the other one went out and bought a x box so he now has one of each brand. told my son he was crazy to give it to us. and now can not come up with his share of the car insurance but I can not cut him a mom go's nuts if i say any thing she is over protective of him and I understand see he was molested by his bio father for over three years before it was found out. but some day he needs to grow up and she has to stop blaming her self as it is doing no good for either. but his income hurts us the step daughter gets some welfare help and her welfare money then also counts ageist us but that money is for her baby and her needs like diapers and such I am one of the lucky ones that falls in between the creaks of the system as how they count things one dose it this way another that way but each is to limit who gets on the rolls and yet it cost to feed 6 adults and one baby. o well I know things will get better . the wife will be going into CPS in about one more year . she has been a single mother for almost 30 years has had to be on welfare and help and gets so made because of how it now works . if the kids were younger then we would get help but they can not afford to move out and go to collage so what are they to do take low paying jobs and never get ahead or struggle with us and get ahead in life .I want them to get ahead as then the day comes they can take care of us and not just pick out the home we will be placed in LOL.  the rednecks Marty & G.  Stills ; An illness I know to well!
