Hooray Lynn!

I can't wait until you get to the point where you say to yourself, "Gosh, what was I so worried about, anyway?" :)

Grace still sweats a bit, but not so bad. I make sure I don't dress her too warm. She's actually been wearing a lot of her spring outfits already. (That is an eye-opener, I had been buying 2T's thinking that would get her through the summer. HA! She can wear those just fine right now!)

Kendra -

Grace will be 8 months on the 18th. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT???????????? Her brother wore 5T's at 18 months, but I think Grace is going to surpass him! Maybe I should cut the Miracle Grow out of the formula?

Ugh...the sweating part is just terrible...we live in Florida, so I

just know this summer is going to be awful for her...hopefully she

will have adjusted to it as they tell me most do.

Ya ! I'm glad that your little angel is adapting to it so well.

I used to use powder under my little guy's helmet. I also kept his hair

short. He was little and I figured it would grow back anyway.

I remember somebody else here saying that keeping socks off usually helped

cool things off too. I geuss the body has two main ways for heat to

escape...the feet and head.

Hope things keep going well for you

Well...she was adjusting well, until yesterday when I removed it to

chk the pressure points and noticed that a red spot on her forhead

was not going away...it kind of reminded me of a rug burn. When I

called the Childrens Hospital they told me to just check it more

often, and to wash her sking with soap and water each time. They are

also mailing me some cushioning type of thing that they say if needed

to put inside the band. Has anyone had this type of problems??

Hello Lynn,

Hmmm, maybe your toddler is coming down with some allergic reaction and NEEDS SOME BENADRYL!!! :) :) I'm just joking.

Anyway, Grace had some difficulty with a pressure spot during the first week. Until it was addressed and adjusted by the people in Illinois, she really couldn't wear it for long. I hope the cushioning material works to get you by until 's next visit. She'll get into the groove here soon. Sometimes it takes some touching up to get a good fit. Don't fret!

Lynn, give your little girl a bottle of ketchup and a "plan" and leave the room. Oh, and by the way, the "plan" involves her Daddy needing some decorating....

Give the band a quick swipe with alcohol every time you take it off to check for redness. It will take just a moment to dry and it should help with the smell.
