All UK Citizens in Natural Remedies

The trend for healthier eating has led to an increase of 368% in the

number of laboratory experiments conducted on animals for food

additives, sweeteners and health supplements in 2006 (4,038) compared

to 2005 (862). In fact, food products are being tested on animals

even though they are already being used by consumers.

These tests, when they involve natural ingredients such as raspberry

juice and cabbage, cannot be for safety purposes. Health benefits of

such foodstuffs are well known and any further information that might

be obtained can be easily researched from human volunteers.

It is important that the government knows the wishes of the British

people. If enough believe this testing on Animals is unnecessary it

can be stopped.

Early Day Motion (EDM) 4, calls on the UK Government to stop granting

licences for experiments for additives and other foodstuffs.

If you want your MP to sign this EDM or want further information

please visit http://www.vote4animals.org.uk/edm4.htm

Please tell all your friends and colleagues to do the same.

Everyone can help and you can make a difference.

Thank You

T. Gallett
