Guest guest
I've read that certain forms of D (D2) are not processed well in the body and can cause negative side effects. That being said, I took high doses of D3 for six weeks to counteract some auto -immune symptoms I had been experiencing before reading this and I had positive results. Since reading two studies and a thread on cure zone that raised alarms, I have switched to silica (horsetail) as I read it is a good source of D. I also take fish oil. If you are going to take D directly, I recommend D3 over D2 I'm about to put my kid to bed, but if I get a chance I will try to find the studies. Bottomline for me Vitamin D is essential for recovery for a variety of debilitating and life-threatening illnesses, but which forms work best in the human body and are not harmful are subject to debate. A good rule of thumb for a variety of the supplements we take is to try to obtain it from as natural a source as possible. Guest guest
yes, I have also read that D3 is better absorbed. Dry D is also better absorbed than oil based for some. A reliable source for dry D, dry D3 is Vitalady.com. I do not make any money or get any discounts to promote her....only, that is where I buy mine, because I have a problem finding anywhere else.
