When getting your Vitamin D from the sun, there are

a couple of things to remember > > >

1) If you are using sunscreen, you are blocking the

Vitamin D ...AND putting toxins on your skin that

are known to cause cancer.

2) The oils on your skin absorb the Vitamin D from

the sun and if you shower when you come in from

the sunshine, you are washing off the Vitamin D. It

is best not to shower for about an hour after your

exposure to the sun.

the argument was quite convincing. Can one purchase Vitamin D3 from a regular health food store?> > Thanks again for everyone's help. Lilo>

My understanding is that the sun uses the oils on your

skin to make Vitamin D and this action continues after

you are no longer in the sun. I couldn't swear to it at

this point but I would want to know of this possibility if

I didn't know of it already. I read of this phenomenon

and it is not something I thought up myself.
