Guest guest
Hi Arrow Re No. 1: low salt in your body weaken the strength of sphincter muscles and this causes reflux. I have had low salt and reflux, and more salt and no reflux, so this has been/and is, true for me! Re No. 2: Low salt results in weak HCl acids for digestion. My digestion was weak. Now it is great! This is true too! There is good information about the body's need for salt in " Water for Health, for Healing, for Life " (pages 245 to 252 are all about our many needs for salt) by Dr F. Batmanghelidj M.D. You might like to pay heed to this information before you listen to poor medical advice. Guest guest
I haven't had a reflux since I started a low carb diet. Something about a combination of foods was causing it. Best wishes........LD At 01:05 AM 17/06/2008, you wrote: It's my opinon that GERD is caused my a couple of different things. 1. There could be damage to the esophageal sphincter that permits acid to go up the esophagus. Treatment for this is surgical and is not available in the USA, but is in Europe. 2. The stomach is not secreting enough digestive enzymes and Hydrochloric acid to digest properly causing gas and bloating and pressure on the sphincter and upward flow of acidic fluids that burn the esophagus. 3. there is a microbial invasion of the stomach and or esophagus causing digestive problems and possibly malfunction of the sphincter. Some people who who have used MMS with GERD have eliminated GERD after using it. I am one of them. Candida may be one of the microbes as well as h-pylori or even currently unknown undiagnosable microbes.
