Guest guest
Welcome Shandi. You sure haven't had great luck with your RD's!!! SS can't hold it against you since your doctor died. Hopefully you'll be able to get your medical records transferred to your new RD. I hope doctor #5 will be a good one for you. a [ ] New Here! Hello! I just wanted to jump right in and intro myself before I start responding My name is Shandi and I am from land. I have been diagnosed with RA for almost 7 years. It developed a month after I had my son when I was 20. Was able to work for 3 years with it but had to be placed on disability because the disease progressed very fast for me. I have been on just about every common med for RA but currently on Vioxx, MTX, Enbrel, Pred., Didronel, Folic Acid and Calcium. I am probably forgetting a few Luckily I have only had a few surgeries...nothing very evasive. I get to visit Rheumie #5 in a few weeks. My first one retired, second one I couldn't stand, 3rd had to quit practice for some very odd reason and my last one died. ALlt his and my disability review is coming up so I am nervous to say the least! Shandi
Guest guest
HI ROSE!! wELCOME TO THE GROUP! Any specific questions you have? I have found everyone here to be VERY helpful and pleasant! I am a Registered Nurse, and work anywhere from 32-40+ hours a week for now. I figgure I may as well work while I am still able, and do some OT while I can. PLEASE, see you a Rheumatologist and follow his advice and make sure you take an active role in the treatment of the RA, too. Keep us posted…..sherri ----- Original Message ----- From: Rose Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Tuesday, April 01, 2003 3:57 PM Subject: New Here! Hello! I'm new to this group and thought I'd better introduce myself. My name is Rose, I'm 29 years old, married for 8 years with 3 girls (one is a step-daughter). Three years ago I was diagnosed with degenerative disk disease in my cervical and lower lumber spine. Just last week I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I work full time, for now. I have not yet seen a Rheumatologist, but will on the 29th. Needless to say this leaves me with a lot of unanswered questions. I do not know anything about RA, except that it and OsteoArthritis run in my family. Any information or advice that you all might have will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Rose
Guest guest
Welcome to the site and condolonces on having RA. As with anything else, there is both a lot of good information and a lot of misinformation on the web. I like WebMD and Arthritis Insight web sites, but there are a lot of others as well. Good luck and God bless. ----- Original Message ----- From: Rose Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Tuesday, April 01, 2003 1:57 PM Subject: New Here! Hello!
