OT-Remineralizing baby teeth

Our (almost) three year old fell two weeks ago and broke his front

baby tooth in half - horizontally.

We have been playing it by ear to see if he needs serious dental

intervention. He is very sensitive to brushing his teeth, anything

cold and won't bite down on anything with those front teeth. He does

not seem to be in excessive pain. He eats normally, still sucks on a

bottle and for the most part is his happy, joyful, sweet self.

I took him to a pediatric dentist this morning and she wants to

completely knock him out with anesthesia, clean away the decay and

rebuild those front teeth with some resin/composite stuff. She said

that the nerve was not exposed but is close and the pulp could

eventually become infected if we didn't do anything.

My hubby and I pow-wow'd and we've decided to treat him with

homeopathy for four weeks then readdress the situation on the 7th of

August (while keeping our appointment for the 24th of September). We

are considering Kreosotum, Calc Phos and plantago major - these were

used by another mommy who posted in alternativekidsteeth - although I

really have no idea what they are yet. I also understand it is

possible to remineralize teeth and we are currently using High Vitamin

Cod Liver Oil and just recently started High Vitamin Butter Oil. We

follow a pretty tight Weston A. Price diet - no sugar, veg oil,

processed food or anything that I don't make in our own kitchen.

I realize this is more of a homeopathic group kind of message,

but wondered, since most of you are so versed in many things, what

your thoughts were.

Most of all, we don't want our baby to be in pain. We also don't want

any infection - but we also don't want him completely anesthetized.

Thank you all so much for any insights.
