Guest guest
Hi all, I am new to the group. I was diagnosed with RA in 1995. I am looking to speak with others about their experiences with this disease. I look forward to hearing other peoples experiences and offering support myself. -Jan ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here
Guest guest
Hi Joyce, I am a little sceptical about gold injections due to my husband's experiences. About eight years ago he had gold injections. After a few months blood tests revealed his thyroid and pancreas had been irreparably damaged. He stopped the injections immediately and his RA is now well controlled with 10mgs of Prednisolone daily. But, he needs artificial thyroid hormone daily and six monthly blood tests, as well as being a diabetic as a result. He takes medication and insulin daily. Please check with your Dr about such side effects and make sure you have regular blood tests. I hope you find the help you need soon. Lynn > HI ALL > I WAS JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS EVER HAD GOLD INJECTIONS FOR THERE RA. I > AM ABOUT TO START ON THEM AND WOULD LIKE SOME INFO ABOUT THEM > I HAVE BEEN ON VARIOUS MEDS AND NOTHING HAS WORKED SO FAR .I BELEIVE THESE > GOLD INJECTIONS ARE AN OLD FASHIONED REMEDY'. > > THANKYOU JOYCE
