Guest guest
***, I'm just brainstorming here, but do you think that the coconut oil is helping keep the virus's down and the body is then better able to tackle the yeast? What brand of coconut oil do you use?*** Here is an article that talks about why it would help, the most relevant parts being these. " Some of the viruses inactivated by these lipids, in addition to HIV, are the measles virus, herpes simplex virus-1 (HSV-1), vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV), visna virus, and cytomegalovirus (CMV). " and . . . " A number of fungi, yeast, and protozoa are inactivated or killed by lauric acid or monolaurin. The fungi include several species of ringworm (Isaacs et al 1991). The yeast reported is Candida albicans (Isaacs et al 1991). " Here is the link. http://www.apcc.org.sg/special.htm Right now I am using some I get shipped from a producer in the Philippines. Here is the website to order it. http://philippineherbs.com/ Omega Nutrition has a good product too, but I would most definately avoid Spectrum Naturals, as it looses some good stuff when it is refined (which all of theirs is). The virgin coconut oil is the best. I use the oil in a lot of my cooking. I also buy coconuts and shred the meat to get the milk out (which has a lot of the oil and good stuff in it) and use it in cooking, and I dry out the shredded meat and use it too. The problem with using JUST monolaurin is that you miss out on all of the other great stuff that coconuts and their oil offer, which are many. rochester@... ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Click here for the best diet and nutrition information you will ever find! www.westonaprice.org ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* " Children who know how to think for themselves spoil the harmony of the collective society which is coming where everyone is interdependent. Guest guest
Sorry about the person hurting you ( Having like a sprain in your back can be Very painful !!! How did it go at the Chiropracter today??? But still picking up our little loved ones is a Blessing ) {{{ Painless Hugs }}} Helen ya no kidding. i never thought this person would change like this so it has thrown me off real bad. I pulled my back lifting my daughter. she is getting heavy and I was compensating for my aching legs and lifted her wrong, and now OUCH! i thought it would be just one of those pulls that ache a little then goes away, but its been spasming since i did it and arg it hurts! looks like im calling the chiropracter tomorrow. Guest guest
i didnt end up going to the chiropractor, as I found out that it is no longer covered by the insurance. the back was actually 100 times worse today though. it got to the point where I was in tears, and having a difficult time breathing, because i was bothered by the pain, and was having anxiety attacks, so I had to lay down, then ended up in the shower using all the hot water spraying directly onto my back where it hurt, and that helped a lot. and now i am using a heating pad, which is helping. might go to urgent care tomorrow if it gets bad again, but most likely they wont do anything since it is just a muscle thing, and if they give me anything for the spasms, chances are i have tired it since i have numerous meds for my MS that they use for spasms... oh well. I just hope it gets better. it really hurts.. sandra
Guest guest
I can't even go down an open staircase anymore... It is just getting worse and worse ( I have always wanted to go to Niagra Falls, but I don't think I could even handle that now ( I think I would be giving the company the bill for that call, if it were my cell phone ) Glad you got all of it sorted out though!!! Sorry your friend is so ill ( That is a shame ( Please try and take care of yourself as best as you can while on your trip!!! I know, easier said then done... Hope you are having a good time with your family!!! I have a Brother like your sister!!! {{{ Vacation-Work Hugs }}} Helen Hello HelenHeights bother me if I'm climbing a ladder or looking off the edge ofsomething but those little windows on planes just isn't the same and theground is so far away, it's like it's not real. The company VPN system which is supposed to let me telecommute indoesn't work too well in Calgary and the Calgary office says they neverdid get it working well so I haven't been able to get much work done. However I did go in to the office and camped out in a conference roomfor a while to get the problem in Portland sorted out. I had plannedon camping out again the next day to handle things in Houston when thetape got fedexed from Portland to Houston but the people in Houstonwanted to give it a try themselves so I wound up walking them throughover the cell phone, that should be a rather high bill since I'm roaming.I've been trying to get in as many visits with friends in as possiblesince you never know how much time you have left to spend with friendsand family. It's a bit difficult because it's so easy to over-exertmyself and I need to keep regular with the medications, I think I tookthe Coreg too late last night in that the dose overlapped with thismornings dose cause I fainted this morning, just went to the bathroomand found myself crumpled in the bathtub.I can't go back to Houston till the 16th because it now takes 7 days forthe passport office to process renewals, used to be 5 days with 3 daysfor emergencies. Quite a far cry from the same day service that the USPassport office offers but I'll bet that with the world as it is now,all passports will take time to process. Fortunately I had booked myreturn flight to be late on the 16th because I thought it might takelonger than usual. The friend of mine that I hooked up with last night tells me thatanother guy that he knows was just diagnosed with liver cancer and mayonly have weeks to live so he's getting news of terminal and potentiallyterminal friends all in the same day.My older sister arrives tonight so the whole family will be more or lesshere for the weekend. She's going to stay with the inlaws rather thanwith us which is good cause there's not much space left and she tends topick fights with all of us over a period of time.Regards,

Guest guest
handd1@... writes: ....very strange. My jaw this morning started doing this popping thing when I eat. It's like my jaw gets stuck, then pops back. Just what I needed. SYMPTOMS OF TMJ Because many different symptoms of TMJ exist, discovering a proper diagnosis is difficult. However, there are a few classic symptoms which involve the TM joints, ears, head, face and teeth.TMJ CLICKING--The most common symptom of TMJ is jaw joint clicking (popping, snapping). This clicking sound may be so loud that it can be heard by others while you chew. There may or may not be pain in the joint itself with the sound of a click or pop. But one thing is for sure: if there is a displaced disc, as is usually the case when a click occurs, then the muscles that move the jaw while chewing are more tense than normal. This tenseness can and does cause muscle, facial, head and neck pain.TMJ LOCKING--Locking of the TMJ may be noticed simply by catching of the lower jaw as it opens. Sometimes, the person with a locked joint must move the jaw to one side or another in order to open wide. Or, a person might have to open until he hears and feels a loud pop, at which point the jaw actually unlocks.CHANGE IN BITE--A dislocated TMJ may also be noticed by a change in the dental occlusion, or bite. If the TMJ disc goes out of place, the bones and disc do not fit together properly and therefore, the bite of the teeth changes.EAR SYMPTOMS--Due to the close anatomical relationship of the TMJs to the ears, an injury to the TMJ often causes various ear symptoms. Some of the symptoms may be ear pain, fullness or stuffiness, and even a loss of hearing. That's why so many TMJ sufferers first see their family doctor and an ear specialist before even considering seeing a dentist for a possible TMJ problemHEADACHE--Headache is one of the most common symptoms of a TMJ problem. Usually the TMJ headache is located in the temples, back of the head, and even the shoulders. Clenching and grinding of the teeth, both of which may be TMJ symptoms, produce muscle pain which can cause headache pain. Also, a displaced disc in the TMJ may cause pain in the joint which is often referred into the temples, forehead or neck. These headaches are frequently so severe that they are confused and treated (with little success) for migraine headaches or abnormalities in the brain.SENSITIVE TEETH--The teeth may become sensitive because of jaw activities such as clenching of the teeth or grinding of the teeth when the disc of the TMJ is displaced. Patients often see their dentist with the complaint of pain in the teeth and usually the doctor can find no cause. Frequently (and very unfortunately), unnecessary root canals and even tooth extractions are performed in an attempt to help a suffering person. What's worse, after these invasive and non-reversible procedures, patients still have their pain, only now it has increased!OTHER SYMPTOMS--Many other symptoms may be associated with TMJ. Often, pain will be felt in the shoulders and back due to muscle contraction, a condition called myofascial pain dysfunction syndrome. Dizziness, disorientation and even confusion are also seen in some people who suffer with TMJ.Depression is common with TMJ. This may be due to the fact that no one really believes there is a problem causing such pain and suffering. Also, plenty of scientific evidence shows that chronic pain patients (which nearly all TMJ patient can claim) have changes in chemicals in the brain (termed neurotransmitters) as result of the pain. These chemicals can and do produce depression. Along with depression comes an inability to get a good night's sleep. This may be due to TMJ pain itself or, changes in the brain's neurotransmitter chemicals which produce stimulation even though the TMJ sufferer is asleep. Sufferers usually wake feeling like they never slept or at least, did not sleep well. This lack of sleep not only makes their pain seem worse, but also adds fuel to the fire of depression.TMJ patient may also suffer with photophobia, or light sensitivity. A dislocated TMJ may produce pain in and behind the eye which can cause sensitivity to light. Blurred vision and eye muscle twitching are also common in TMJ patients.A final common symptom is ringing (termed tinnitus) in the ears. This sound may be caused by many different problems (such as, working around loud noises or taking too much aspirin or ibuprofen). QUESTIONS TO SEE IF YOU MIGHT HAVE A TMJ PROBLEM: 1. Do you have frequent headaches? 2. Do you hear popping, clicking or cracking sounds when you chew? 3. Do you hear a grating sound (like crumpling of newspaper) when you chew? 4. Do you have stuffiness, pressure or blockage in your ears? 5. Do you hear a ringing or buzzing sound in either or both of your ears? 6. Do you experience dizziness frequently? 7. Do your jaws feel like they "catch?" 8. Do your jaws feel tight, difficult to open? 9. Does it appear that you can't open your mouth as wide as you used to? 10. Does you tongue go between your teeth or do you bite on your tongue to separate your teeth? 11. Do your teeth ache? 12. Are your teeth sensitive, especially to cold temperatures? 13. Do you wake with sore facial muscles? 14. Do you clench or grind your teeth during movements of frustration or concentration? 15. Do you grind your teeth at night? 16. Do your ears hurt? 17. Does it hurt to move your jaw sideways? 18. Do your neck, back of your head, or shoulder hurt? 19. Have you been hit in the jaw? 20. Have you been put to sleep for surgery? 21. Have you had a whiplash injury? 22. Have you seen a neurologist, psychologist or psychiatrist for unexplained head or neck pain? 23. Do your jaws ache after eating? 24. Are you under a lot of stress? 25. Have you been told that you might have TMJ? http://www.drshankland.com/symptoms.html *************************************** Being an earth angel doesn’t always involve something major, such as saving a life. Guest guest
Marina - Lenny (3.5) takes both ProEFAs at bedtime. They have never interfered with his sleep although some parents say they do. We did start him on one and increased to two after about 4 months. The results were very quick. Within a few days, he was able to ride a tricycle (something we practiced previously every day with no luck). Within a few weeks, he stopped groping for words and he went from two words to full sentences. His clarity and articulation are still very off making it hard for others to understand him but the motor planning part of his speech has improved dramatically. Regarding the developmental ped -- she did not suggest any further testing for Lenny. Good luck to you and feel free to email me directly at LynaughBoyz@... if you have any other questions. Hello The fingers themselves feel thick. It hurts if any pressure sideways is applied. All the red/purple areas dissappeared within a few days. It just hurts when I try to use my hand which I do all the time but otherwise it's just stiff. I slept in today, forgot to set my alarm clock. Fortunately, everything was running pretty well anyways. Takes a while to reset my internal clock cause I seem only able to roll it forward, ie.: wake up and go to sleep later. Doing it the other way just doesn't work for me. Guest guest
Hello Helen Well, Houston is supposed to be hot in July and August. Even now, at 1:00 am, it's 81 fahrenheit outside (I've got one of those inside outside wireless thermometers). They usually don't start saying heat wave till we hit the century mark for a few days in a row. Sugar levels seem reasonable, I need to get more of those darn test strips again. I'm low on Glucophage so I need to go to the drive through pharmacy again. Houston is just full of drive throughs, there's a drive through bank around the corner where for several years, they had instructions for the drive through ATM in braille. Nice concept for those blind drivers. The company stock just plumetted 75% to 58 cents a share, the merger deal fell through. Everybody figured there would be more stalling rather than anyone leaving the 7.5 million on the table walking fee to break the agreement. I'm actually running low on mosquito repellant after having the bottle nearly full for years. Last thing I want is another mosquito bourne virus especially since one theory for getting DCM at an early age is mosquito bourne viruses. If this email has a zillion blank lines after this line, it's because one of the cats decided to press the enter button for a while just now. He likes to help with the typing. That is a tragedy ( How will you fare through this??? Glad your sugar is behaving itself... Yes, those test strips cost a fortune... With me being hypoglycemic, my insurance company won't pay for my test strips ( Now my Mother-in - Law is a bad diabetic, takes two - three shots a day and was told to test her sugar at Least five times a day... The insurance company told her that she only needs to take it three times a day as that is average and they will not pay for any more than three a day ( They are old people and have very little money, she is in the hospital constantly and the insurance company still plays God ( Something is terribly wrong with the humanity in this country now a days ( You keep track of your sugar...
