Guest guest
Hi! Here is a hint my accupuncturist gave me for relieving pain and swelling: fill a basin with steaming hot water and plain vinegar and soak hand or feet for at least 20 minutes. I imagine this could be done for a full body soak in a bathtub. The foot soak feels amazing after a long day! It definitely helps relieve my arthritis. Guest guest
I have also used honey with great results. Last year I burned my little finger and surrounding area with boiling water. I put it in cold water first to ease the pain, and then slathered it with honey and bandaged it up. My hubby thought I was crazy. I changed the honey/bandage every day, and after a week or so it was like nothing happened - it just looked normal. And it never hurt at all, even when the skin peeled off. Guest guest
I use water first, also, I got a steam burn on the inside of my wrist, it hurt really bad, but I was busy so I took a large piece of aloe Vera, cut open to press against my wrist, covering the whole burn, I taped it on leaving it for a few hours, the burn just dried out, No big bubbles, no blisters or wet burn mess, it never hurt again, and shortly it was just healed. It took a few days for the new skin to form under the discolored skin above, [and I'm diabetic!] but it healed with no cover after the fist few hours. I'll remember the mustard and honey cures, And remember it needs to be raw honey, right? ~Katy Sheep to the right; His Lamb “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength" Isa 30:15 http://orchardhouseheirlooms.com/product_info.php/cPath/157_163/products_id/199 survival seeds Christian-homesteaders/ biblical survival -- Re: tip I have also used honey with great results. Guest guest
I've never heard of Jeff Rense. His website sports lots of ads and other peoples news. I may be skeptical in my old age. My experience has been that happy thoughts are just that, happy thoughts. People and organizations pushing their happy thoughts on others generally come with a price tag, they are gonna make a buck somehow. Foods, herbs, tinctures, teas, salves, lotions, sunlight, fresh air and rest seem to do the most good. I wish happy thoughts worked. I would be healthy, the world would be disease free, all the world would be in total bliss. -- No sig line is too small. Facebook is evil. Rent this space. Guest guest
Well , I think your name "Yeah Right" says it all. You are a skeptic and I don't believe that salves, potions, and lotions work without your body's cooperation. I am seeing a vibrational healer and we're working on healing my body with no salves, potions, and lotions and it's working really well. Did you know that ONE person with a higher vibration can positively affect 200,000 people? I didn't but it sure gives me a reason to keep meditating and putting out the good thoughts to the universe. I'm older too and have lost my skeptisim, thank goodness. Shari
Guest guest
I think I'd call it a healthy skepticism, keeps me from buying into snake oil and from joining all sorts of cults. I do believe vibrational healing is a good thing. Maybe this is an example of happy thoughts done locally with a proven outcome. Oddly, somebody here posted something about energy healing and got a good helping of nay say from the ranks. I do agree that many of the goods used are only a focus tool, which bring an area of concern to the bodies attention, and the body sends the healing magic to where most needed. Other items enhance the bodies systems to do the tasks they were designed to do, and some are the fuel these systems require to function. Still, after thousands of years of global happy thoughts we still have war, illness, disease and more. So my skepticism is founded in thousands of years of proof and reality. Is this doubt? You betcha. And my email persona " Yeah Right " is in reply to the question " name " in various applications and websites where I feel nobody has the need to know exactly who I am or where I am located, and certainly not my birthday, place of birth; all those things you need for a credit report. I think this is prudent skepticism. I can search my name online and I can't find myself, so neither can " they " ; but my sigline does include my name... -- No sig line is too small.
