Guest guest
Hi Carol! Geoff Crenshaw here. > Date: Sat, 8 Jan 2000 08:53:36 EST > From: HPUMOM1@... > Subject: need advice > > It appears that my husband has lost his job because his company did not like > the high expense of my medical claims last year. Of course they did not > openly admit it - but it is obvious in other ways. > Can anyone that has had experience with this type of situation -please help > me? > Thanks, > Carol* Seems you have three choices. The first two are obvious - get a board-certified labor law attorney and file an action, or forget it and move on with your lives. You have to decide. Each option carries its own set of baggage that will be with you for many, many years regardless of the outcome. The third choice is somewhat more ambiguous and definitely relational. From a worldly standpoint it borders on irrational -- you and your husband go talk to the people (boss) he worked for and, without being overly confrontational, find out just why he lost his job. Such meetings may even be better conducted privately out of the workplace such as over coffee in a neutral setting like a restaurant. Seek documentation, etc., if necessary but keep it all on a personal (as in person-to-person this could just as easily be you and your spouse) sort of level. This choice actually offers an alternative that may be baggage free at the end, and could benefit you all the way around. BTW, this third choice is also biblical if that matters. Guest guest
Hi Patti, Have you meant paula c. , she is also a patient of dr hughes, i hope i am correct, he knows nothing of cfs but he learns quickly, she does like him, she is on lists and has mycoplasmal infection? [Patti:] I've never met her but talked to her on a list (I thought she was on this list?). I think I got Dr. ' name from her. I'm so glad I found out about him! Was the most enjoyable conversation I've ever had with a doctor (I've had good conversations with Dr. Donovan in the desert and Dr. Bihari also). Dr. and I were totally in synch in everything we discussed so far. I may not respond to the things we discussed - but at least I get a chance to **TRY**. Guest guest
, My Opinion Only: It is time for you to look for an adult placement for your son. Your son is 25.... is he working? Please don't plan for him to remain with you indefinitely. I hear of countless stories of adults with mental retardation that are suddenly, emergently placed because of a parent's failing health or death. Both changes are a lot to handle.....too much (in my opinion) to ask of someone who might not like change or understand it all. Please consider " a whole new world " for Ricky. In my community there are wonderful group homes and supported employment opportunities. There probably near you too. Call your local ARC organization for some advice on where to start. I hope this helps. Guest guest
This reply is mostly to the violist, . I am a cellist who teaches elem. strings for a living. I had Harrington Rod surgery at s Hopkins in 1981. In 83 the big rod broke and was replaced with a smaller compression rod. The old rod was loose for 8 months and that was really the only time I had trouble playing violin and cello. The repetitve motion from the loose rod hurt the upper back. Once that rod was removed it went away. In 1988 I had that rod removed and was fused to the sacrum because the last disc began to sit on the sciatic nerve. To make a long story short, I play all of the string instruments but in order to play a long symphony, I take tylenol before playing. I do have flatback and I do bend forward but 99% of the time I am pain-free. I could have further revision surgery to become straighter in terms of posture but I have opted to not do that. I work out with weights, walk, swim and do water aerobics. I had a S curve so the fusion includes the top. Email privately if you wish. Did you know that Yo Yo Ma has scoliosis and had surgery in either the late 80's or early 90's?

Guest guest
You pushers need to go turn yourselves in for taking illegal drugs and maybe while in rehab you can come out of your pothead haze and contribute something positive to HCV tx. Your Mother Nature cures haven't cured anyone here. You're FRAUDS and criminals for advocating illegal drugs. Guest guest
Hi everyone! I was in Cozumel today, snorkeled for 2 hours the did a sea kayak powerfully for about 45 solo minutes. It was the greatest thing ever to board that kayak without fearing I'd sink the sucker! Special hello to all my West Sound Bandsters, sorry I'll miss meeting with you this Sunday. I sneaked a peak on the scale, haven't lost but haven't gained, so all is well. Wish all of you were here, boy those banding docs should give free seminars and sign people on cruise ships up!!! Guest guest
Larry, Hubby has 5 degenerative disks now, but only 3 are pain generators. Unfortunately, they don't get better. Fusion right now is the only option, although artificial disks replacements are in clinical trials. We chose to wait, because we dont want to fuse that many levels.
