Long story short, there was no infection at all - the dizziness got worse and he was basically in bed for 6 days. Another misdiagnosis, another bottle of antibiotics. My girlfriend had been using ear candles on her hubby, whenever his ears were bugging him. She loaned me a few and after about three of them he started to perk up - said the pressure had been somewhat relieved and he wasn't as dizzy. After the fourth ear candle, we did hydrogen peroxide therapy (ala earthclinic.com), whereby I used a dropper and completely filled his ear with it, let it sit and fizz, then he turned his head and let it drain out. We did that probably four times in one sitting and again the next day. Each time the ear fizzed like pop rocks. The ear candles and peroxide therapy released an amazing amount of ear wax. Neither of us could believe it. Later that evening, after the second day of ear candling, his dad came over and told me the story of when he was 25 and had ... the exact same thing happen to him on a scuba trip in Mexico. After a week of misery and not knowing what was happening, his friends forced him to a doctor, who then flushed his ears. He has since needed to flush his own ears every three months or so to keep the buildup in check. So, there you have it. No antibiotics or MMS needed for this. Trial, error and a good story. Happy Jesus! -vanessa
