I have experience with a > flush-type drink that has orange juice, grapefruit juice, garlic, cayenne > and olive oil...is your method different? Supplements that support the liver are milk thistle, l-taurine and glycine. Antioxidants include these supplements: Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Betacarotene (mixed carotenes--best gotten from orange veggies), selenium, alpha lipoic acid. Grape seed extract and pycnogenols also are claimed to have superior antioxidant capabilities. Patty

Here is a reference to grape seed extract: http://www.wellweb.com/ALTERN/herbs/grapeseed.htm The difference between grape seed extract and grapefruit seed extract is very clear. Grape seed extract functions as a potent antioxidant, while grapefruit seed extract works as an anti-microbial. Two very different functions. However, most sources I have come across recommend the reverse--cleansing out the liver/g.b. first so that when the parasites are killed, they and their waste products flush out of the system easily. Guest guest
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that an ACIDOPHILUS AND BIFIDUS implant is done by doing an enema to get the two into the colon area as quickly as possible. It is usually done as a yogurt enema so as to kill off excess amounts of candida that may be in the colon. A fairly good sign of this is when there is a yeast infection of the anal area. Its not too hard to discern because of the pain, dryness, and redness of the area. Men and women can acquire this problem. Regarding Grapefruit Extract. Regarding Grapeseed Extract Regarding Alpha Lipotic Regarding pycnogenols When asking questions please limit the number so that one or two issues can be addressed at a time. There is much greater response to single questions than a piled set. DaleDa_@... Guest guest
Hi Joni, Liver flushing is a procedure to clean your liver. There are several methods available and the one I used is the Hulda method, but I skipped the tranquilizer as I never thought I would need it for gulping down a couple of glasses of magnesium and one of olive oil! The full procedure and its benefits are extensively discussed at a Curezone forum which is dedicated to it. Do read the FAQ etc, it is all very interesting. These are the links at the top of the page. The most scientific approach is given by Telman. http://curezone.com/forums/f.asp?f=447 Sorry to write about Liver Flushing in a forum intented for iodine research. I do think it is extremely important to have a clean liver before starting iodine supplementation. Both myself and DH had done more than 25 Liver Flushes each before we started on Iodoral. We have been up to 15 Iodorals a day with absolutely no ill effects apart from a couple of zits now and then. And with amazing results on our overall health. Since a lot of people all around seem to be floored by detox symtoms with a couple of Iodoral pills, I cannot help but think that our repeated Liver Flushing has something to do with our suffering no ill effects from the Iodoral. I should add that since we have started on iodine, the Liver Flushes have become nearly improductive. This seems to indicate that the iodine helps in dissolving the stones. Obviously, if these toxic stones are dissolved and end up in the gut, the toxins are reabsorbed, much more than if the stones are thrown out of the body at one go by the flush. Apart from this Liver Flushing has a lot of other benefits. all this discussed in the forum mentioned. Be well! Guest guest
, A much easier, although slower approach is to eat a big salad for lunch for a while consisting of bitter greens like dandelion, chickory, mustard with a sour apple like granny smith, radish, garnished with milk thistle seeds. Throw anything else in the salad that helps the kidneys and liver. Dress the salad with a GENEROUS amount of lemon juice (I like the frozen minute maid lemon juice -- so much easier) and extra virgin olive oil. Take daily a good milk thistle combo capsule (like from Solary) that has artichoke, dandelion to support the kidneys. A few years back, I developed IBS and began eating the above salads for lunch in attempt to alkalize myself. It did help relieve my symptoms and also eliminate some stones in the process. Guest guest
, I never did all the other cleanses. Just the Liver Flush and it costs 0 $! The only addition I did at the time, which is not really explained well on the Hulda flush, is that you have to drink as much water as you can during the process, but stop drinking 20 mns before until 20 mns after taking one of the magnesium/oil drinks. Alternative " flushes " like eating salad etc, I had done before and sadly were not enough for me. They are NOT liver flushes, just a way to take care of your liver. By the way, I strongly advise against using ANYTHING that has been processed if you can avoid it! Minute Maid lemon juice ? Forget it! Be well! Guest guest
, The Liver Flush throws out stones that are in your gallbladder AND in your liver, so it is still beneficial even if you had your gallbladder removed. Guest guest
Hi Kalliopi, Thank you so much for the information on liver flushing. I am very interested in this because I’m pretty sure the reason I became so terribly nauseated after taking Iodoral was because of my liver. This makes a lot of sense to me. Even before starting on Iodoral I had been thinking my liver needed help. Do you have adrenal fatigue? On the adrenal group list, it has been said that detoxing is very hard on adrenals. So, I’m wondering if liver flushing would be considered the same as detoxing the liver. I don’t want to do anything that may make my adrenals worse. Guest guest
Hi Joni, I did have adrenal fatigue with waking up every hour during the night. In the day I was completely exhausted after performing simple tasks. My body hurt all over and I was very depressed because this was not the real ME! This lasted for several years and was getting worse and worse. This went away completely after 8 months on Iodoral but it started getting MUCH better after about 10 Liver Flushes. From the first Liver Flush I also completely stopped drinking coffee in any form. This was difficult for me, so I started by drinking only one cup IN THE MORNING, and this had to be fairly weak organic filter coffee. I couldn't do without that for about a month, then I stopped completely. I also stopped completely drinking any alcoholic beverage until very recently. I did this for two years. Now I am fine, I sleep perfectly, my thyroid is perfect, I have lost about 15 kilos, and if I want I can have a glass of wine or a coffee no problem. I do not take a lot of supplements and medicines as most of the people on this forum do, because I think that if something went wrong it was because of a faulty lifestyle. I wanted to get my body back in balance and I did. Lots of warm wishes for your health! Guest guest
Warning: rude, crude know-it-all about to open his yapper > In Chinese medicine the Liver and Kidneys are the core to a healthy > immune system since the Liver removes toxins and the Kidneys keep the > acid/base balance and the electrolyte balance. There really is no one single 'key' to being healthy... but yes, they are a very important key... The digestive tract is just as important as the Liver, or the Kidneys - or any of the other critical systems in our bodies. > PLEASE NOTE: Liver flushing is hard on the system and it is not for > everyone - it can even lead to emergency gallbladder removal so please > do some research and reading on the topic. Actually, if done right, it is very safe and you don't need to worry about the emergency gall bladder surgery. Just be sure you use a system that includes the use of Epsom Salts - and be sure to be prepared to drink a large glass of Epsom Salts (in water) if you start feeling extremely uncomfortable (indicating a clogged biliary duct)... The Epsom Salts will relax the biliary duct and allow whatever it is to pass safely... You mentioned that you did 4 flushes two years ago, and just did your 5th... What many people fail to realize is, 1 or 3 flushes will most likely not be nearly enough. It can take as many as, 5, 10, or even 20 or more liver flushes to completely clean out the liver/gall bladder. If you are serious about cleansing the liver, you should do a series of them, with a short break in between (anywhere from a week to a month), until you get no more 'stones' out. The 'stones' are not really stones, but neither are they 'congealed olive oil' like some detractors claim. The way you can know this to be true is simply keep doing the flushes, and eventually the stones will be less and less, then there will be no more, just some 'chaff'... for anyone who can't stand the olive oil/garlic and/or Epsom Salts drinks, Dr Schultze has a slower cleanse that is not nearly as unpleasant, but takes a lot longer... Guest guest
Brad, do you feel these cleanses have made you feel a lot better? I have done liver, kidney and colon cleanses myself but not often. A lot of people eat total junk all the time, and yet are not ill. I have always eaten healthy, and look at me now, functioning at 5%. I took Chinese herbs before, not the cleanses, some herbs they told me to take at the accupuncture clinic (which I don't go to anymore as accupuncture didn't help either) and they raised my liver enzymes through the roof. Had I taken just a little longer, I would have needed liver transplant my primary told me. So even though we can read all these possible dangers, there is no guarantee we can prevent them. Chinese herbs are strong. I wouldn't take the risk again unless I knew people with similar type illness that did in fact improve. I wish I knew how to get my immune system to work like normal people's. Don't know if I am wasting time with MMS or what. But is 100% right when she says yeast infections happen with MMS because everyday it appears more and more that is the case with me and yet I take a super powerful probiotic, the strongest I have been able to find. And every time I get that burning in my stomach I think of almost getting an ulcer from it. Wonder if this is documented by Mr. Humble. From: Brad Andersen <bradandersen@...>Subject: [ ] Liver Flushing Date: Tuesday, December 16, 2008, 6:18 AM Hello All,I noticed that after about 3 months on MMS my immune system began toget gradually worse. I believe this is because of the excessiveamount of toxins the MMS was releasing from my system. In Chinesemedicine the Liver and Kidneys are the core to a healthy immune systemsince the Liver removes toxins and the Kidneys keep the acid/basebalance and the electrolyte balance. I have spent 5 years focusing onmy health and my healing and I am coming down to what Chinese medicinehas known all along - you must have a clean liver and clean kidneys ifyou are going to be healthy. On the Candidasis group there are 4 letters from people who havebeen healed and they all did liver cleansing/flushing. A couple saythat Candida is just a buy product and the unhealthy liver was themain cause of their illness. The liver is responsible for removing toxins. It does this on amicroscopic scale, but occasionally a woolly mammoth comes along andgets trapped in the tar pits - probably much more so when on MMS. Itthen continues to grow and grow until the liver can flush it.However, the liver only contracts when there are large amounts offat/oil in the stomach which the modern diet does not have - unlessyou are accustomed to eating chunks of lard. Thus, they get stuck andimpede the liver from doing it's job properly. On top of that, you must get the intestines healthy and for that Iwould look to colonics and enemas with and without coffee to ensurethe full elimination of any liver/gall stones. There are plenty ofsites for that information.I just did my 5th liver flush, 4 two years ago and then this one. This one yielded very good results - more than I would have expectedand probably due to the MMS usage. I even had something large getstuck on it's way out and I will be doing another this weekend andperhaps even more after that.PLEASE NOTE: Liver flushing is hard on the system and it is not foreveryone - it can even lead to emergency gallbladder removal so pleasedo some research and reading on the topic. I would personally lookfor a product called Chanca Piedra (Phyllanthus Niruri - RaintreeNutrition) which is supposed to help break down stones inside of theliver and keep them from forming. This stuff can reduce bloodpressure, female antifertility, and a hypoglycemic effect so just becareful. That and the acid found in apples is supposed to help too -an apple a day does indeed keep the doctor away.Hulda recommends a parasite cleanse prior to liver flushing.I would also drink apple juice every day for a while prior to doing aflush. Here is some info on liver flushing:These could be in your liver right now impeding it's ability to function:http://www.curezone .com/ig/i. asp?i=35041http://www.sensible health.com/ Journey-01. xhtmlhttp://curezone. org/forums/ fm.asp?i= 182920These are the good recipes, I use the Hulda method and it worksquite well:http://www.curezone .com/gallstones/Anyhow, there are lots and lots of personal accounts on that siteabout the benefits, pitfalls, and dangers(http://curezone. com/forums/ fm.asp?i= 61987) of liver flushing.Good health,Brad
Guest guest
Vicki,I am not the only one reporting an ulcer issue with MMS. Someone else had posted this about themselves about the same time it began with me. Pretty synchronistic. That is what made me think of it. After I stopped taking the MMS orally it took several weeks to completely heal my gut. Also, others have reported MMS affective their good bacteria besides me.I take powerful probiotics all day long just so I can keep taking the MMS. Taking days off sometimes and loading up on the probiotics help a lot to repopulate the gut. Just a suggestion. On Dec 16, 2008, at 5:36 PM, Vicki wrote:Brad, do you feel these cleanses have made you feel a lot better? Humble. From: Brad Andersen <bradandersen@...>Subject: [ ] Liver Flushing Date: Tuesday, December 16, 2008, 6:18 AMHello All,I noticed that after about 3 months on MMS my immune system began toget gradually worse.
