Guest guest
Thanks to the info I received I went to the local fodder store (in the middle of sheep country here), and lo and behold, it looks like I am on the right track. Just would like the opinion of the people here: is this the stuff I want for MM2? (copied from the 10 kg container): Poison Keep out of reach of children etc etc.... R70 (Trademark) Dry Chlorinator Concentrated Granular Pool Chlorine Active Constituent 650g/kg available chlorine (Cl) presents as Calcium Hypoclorite If this is the correct stuff, they will contact a farmer for me who is hopefully willing to part with about 500 gr or perhaps 1 kilo. Thanks for any input Hanneke At 12:44 AM 15/10/2009, you wrote: >CALCIUM HYPOCHLORITE >http://jimhumble.biz/biz-mms2intro-eng.htm >Places In Australia >http://chemicals.zibb.com/suppliers/calcium+hypochlorite/AU/25693884 > >- --- avast! Having done a few more searches on line, I came across this pdf file which some might find of interest http://easypools.com.au/technical-pool-articles/138-calcium-hypochlorite-some-sa\ fety-aspects?format=pdf I did find the explanation for the 650 g/kg available chlorine.. Page 2: Almost all commercially available calcium hypochlorite products will have a minimum of 65 % available chlorine. Would it be possible for someone who has a bag with Pool Shock to put in an email what is written on the label of the bag? Just for comparison and to help with deciding if what I have found here is an equivalent. I can hardly ring the company and explain that I need all these details for the reason of ingestion.
