Guest guest
Yes, keep that humor, LOL! And on the bright side, she's feeling so great/positive now, that it might flow on over a bit towards that BDD! > > We do have to have a sense of humor, don't we? > > My daughter happily announced to me that she felt so free - she feels > her OCD is gone and she's so happy! >
Guest guest
We definitely have to keep that sense of humor! How else would we stay sane? It's wonderful to hear about your daughter's happiness. Just keep reminding her that if she can conquer OCD she can also conquer BDD. These kinds of things may always come along, but the more we beat them back, the better we get at conquring them! :-) Tess --- momct1 <snoopfish1@...> wrote: > We do have to have a sense of humor, don't we? > > My daughter happily announced to me that she felt so > free - she feels > her OCD is gone and she's so happy! > > Now if she can just do something about the BDD that > keeps her from > going into a classroom, life would be grand! > Seriously, after all her > treatment, she is now diagnosed with BDD. Guest guest
Dear Forums, I received below in a joke mail. Is it humour or just mainstream science recognized for what it is? Hope you are keeping well, All the Best Bill Z A new report shows that being overweight is not as harmful as is commonly believed, and actually confers some surprising health benefits. Being five to ten pounds overweight could protect people from ailments ranging from tuberculosis to Alzheimer's disease, research indicates. Those carrying 15 to 25 extra pounds are better able to recover from adverse conditions such as emphysema, pneumonia, and various injuries and infections, states the report. Thirty to forty pounds of flab could help fend off breast, kidney, pancreatic, prostate, and colon cancer. And an extra fifty pounds on the scale may improve eyesight, reverse baldness, cure the common cold, and reduce global warming. In general, the report concludes, overweight people are happier, more successful in business, smarter, and friendlier. " This just goes to show that conventional wisdom is wrong, " said a spokeswoman for the study group. " Not to mention the hundreds of studies that came before! " The study was funded by a research grant from Mc's, Burger King, Jack in the Box, Taco Bell, Domino's Pizza, Starbucks, Haagen Dazs, Sara Lee, and Krispy Kreme.
