Guest guest
Hi Thanks for answering my questions about how to use the nasal irrigation stuff with little ones - it doesn't sound easy. I know that we'll do it when we have to - I'm not ready to fight that battle with him. I think once he experiences and understands how it clears the congestion, he might like it as I think one of your older kids had. Now I have a question about mycoplasma. Seems that one of the boys in Sam's class has just been diagnosed with this - anybody out there have experience with this one? I wonder if it could have something to do with Sam's upper respiratory infection that keeps coming back everytime he goes off Augmentin or Amoxicillin. I've heard that a long course of Zithromax helps - and that's what my immunologist put me on and it helped me! Gosh, even my little 10 month old boy has the cough and never ending ear infection and I think and hope that he has a 'normal' immune system. Anyway, I'd love to hear your experience and, don't worry, I don't take it as 'medical fact' - I always check with my doctors, but it really really helps me to hear others experience with these things. Then, at least, I can ask the 'right' questions sometimes. Guest guest
Atypical pneumonia is what comes to mind. Zithromax has always worked to clear this for Macey. Guest guest
Mycoplasma pneumonia is what is commonly referred to as walking pneumonia. It's not as severe usually as pneumonia caused by other organisms but a pain in the hiney nonetheless. Zithromax does work well for this. I've had it 5 times at least that we know of, but not in the last 7 years thankfully!!! Grace 8/14/97 (IgA def, selective T-cell deficiency, pneumococcal antibody deficiency, mild asthma, allergies) Caelan 8/26/99 (IgA def, selective T-cell deficiency, pneumococcal antibody deficiency, asthma, eosinophilic esophagitis, severe food allergies)
