Forgive me for asking the obvious, but aren't your parents the best source for support?? You've killed my stupid assumption that once someone is raised macro, staying macro must be so much easier. Or sometimes a group is fun, especially mine. HAHAHAHAHA Seriously, how was it being raised macro? > averysmom4607 <.enza > Comment from user: > I was raised in macrobiotic home. Guest guest
It was (at times) difficult being raised macro, especially when I become old enough to realize things I did and ate were different (ie. school lunches). With every phase of my life I tested my boundaries and at times even strayed very far from macrobiotics. I would like to think I have come back to my roots with the birth of my daughter (3rd generation macro). I am part of a mothers group on and was curious if there was a macro group and I found one, so I joined. My parents are wonderful sources, especially my mom. She is very helpful, and with the birth of my daughter cooked for my husband and I for two weeks. She lives only 15 minutes from me and is always a phone call away. ~ Re: averysmom new member WOW - a second generation mb - that is so amazing. Guest guest
I'm actually not surprised you strayed for awhile from macrobiotics - I think just knowing one way of life can be limiting (and generate a lot of curiosity). And I think MB is so wonderful because it is a conscious choice. You need to find your own path. As far as looking for alternative sources of support, I think it resonates with the idea of seeking knowledge in as many places as you can and synthesizing what works for you, your family and your personal needs. It's cliche, but it is about the journey. And enjoyed where you are. Johanna > > averysmom4607 <.enza > Comment from user: > I was raised in macrobiotic home.
