Guest guest
Hi So sorry for the problems your locality is experiencing, this is sure a weird year for weather, I am directing my prayers to you and your neighbors. Sometimes we get so involved in our Lyme problems we forget that there are worst things happening around the globe. Hugs, Marta >From: " " <jeand@...> > >Hi All ... Guest guest
I don't feel as if I'm qualified as some on this group, but I will tell you what I have done in the last few months. Prior to my mother getting sick I put many things into motion. I had gone to my holistic doc. in Sept. 2006, and had a saliva test to check my hormone levels. I went back to the holistic doc, in Jan. to get the results. My DHEA was very low, and estrogen was also very low (am 56 yrs old). He recommended Natures Precise cream, which I bought from him for $27. You apply the cream following directions for 3 week, and 1 week off, then start again. It is currently on sale @ the Vitamin Shoppe for under $10. http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/en/browse/sku_detail.jsp?id=NL-1001 & source=CH\ 070332 The Doc., also recommended DHEA 10 mg. As I was in a pharmacy to pick up the lowest dosed Valium (my mother had just died, and I was having a very difficult time sleeping, and crying while I was getting treatments, so the doc. reluctantly gave me just 1 months supply). This pharmacy didn't have 10 mg DHEA, but did have 25 mg. I bought it. My depression almost went away w/in 2 days, my, VERY, Cracked chapped lips and dry skin, that I have unable to lubricate no matter how much chap stick I used, or brand I bought cleared up. W/in 2 days my chapped, cracked lips got much better, skin looked better, depression eased. I stopped the DHEA for 2 Weeks, as my period came back (mildly). Found out that can happen. I resumed the DHEA @ 10mg, and monitor. Josie Cooky <cookee1@...> wrote: Hi everyone, I have an app with a doc on wednesday but thought i'd see if anyone has any ideas about this till then. I am 60 years old. Have had hot flashes all during menopause. Last year the flashes got less. I was so glad. Started in the past 3 months I have really bad hot flashes where I really perspire (really sweat actually) and as soon as it is done (at least a minute) I freeze. I put all my clothes back on and flannel jackets. My skin is also sensitive and at times my figers and other skin parts tingle. I started takeing Estroven (OTC) which does nothing, I stopped my anti depressants 3 weeks ago because of dry eyes. I had an outer ear infection I am taking cipro ear drops for about 4 days now. Still take Minocin MWF 2oomgms. Diflucanwhen necessary and acidophilis In my mind I have gone everywhere from MS to an adrenal or thyroid tumor.I am going crazy Any ideas?? thanks, cooky To unsubscribe, email: rheumatic-unsubscribeegroups
Guest guest
Hi Cooky, Have you ever been tested for Lymes? You may want to rule that out. Your description of skin sensitivity and tingling remind me of some of my symptoms. I had great luck with herbs and the Homeopathic Remedy Lachesis for hot flashes. I used Black Cohosh, Chastetree Berry, and Pau'd Arco. You can get a full list from the Balch's book on Nutritional Healing. I hope this helps, El _____ From: rheumatic [mailto:rheumatic ] On Behalf Of Cooky Sent: Sunday, April 01, 2007 10:22 AM rheumatic Subject: rheumatic off subject Hi everyone, I have an app with a doc on wednesday but thought i'd see if anyone has any ideas about this till then. Guest guest
Sorry this took so long for a reply. I have not been feeling well. I was tested for Lymes way back in 96 or so. I tested positive but was told by a big wig at University of Pittsburgh special study on Lymes that it was a false positive. In 97 I was dxed with RA and fibro. Have been on Minocin ever since with Clindy IV's for 6 years. Thanks for the recommendations about the homeopath remedies. I am taking don quai and it is miraculous for all the crying I was doing. I am now also on bio identical estrogen, progestrone and DHEA. My breasts are getting very big but I now have more energy and stress is not as bad. I will eventually get off the bio's on on an herb but I am just glad the massive hot and cold flashes are done for now. I just needed a break. Thanks for the info. cooky rheumatic off subject Hi everyone, I have an app with a doc on wednesday but thought i'd see if anyone has any ideas about this till then. I am 60 years old. Guest guest
Hi Cooky, I am glad you are doing well on bio-identical hormone replacement. If your breast are swelling that means you are taking too much estrogen. Cut back until you feel just a slight sensitivity. Keep the progesterone and DHEA at the same level. Good Luck and nne Cooky wrote: > > Sorry this took so long for a reply. I have not been feeling well. > > I was tested for Lymes way back in 96 or so. Guest guest
Hi marie, Honey, keep the money. He owes you FAR more than that for all the hell he has put you through. Simply think of it as a gift--you owe him NOTHING because he sent it. Only YOU can attach strings to it--he can't. It is Christmas--simply enjoy it. Don't waste time or energy worrying about why he sent it etc. Just be glad he did and let it go at that. If it was a check--be sure it clears before you spend the money. Merry Christmas, SuziQ > > Hello all, need some advice, i got a xmas card from my husband with $300 in it, part of me wants to tear it up & send it back but i really need the money...? > > Blessed be marie--------- > Sent from AT & T's Wireless network using Mobile Email >
