Guest guest
Jen, Leah is going in separately for the sling and z-plasty. We are spacing them 3 months apart. Part of me would like to just get it all done at once. Please tell me how this goes, would love to know the result. Best, Micah blepharophimosis surgery in 2 months! I'm excited and nervous. Braydon will finally have his surgery in 2 months. Excited for Braydon, but nervous about the surgery itself and for the new eyes we will see. Has anyone had the combo surgery (sling and z-plasty in one)? Wondering about results compared to the surgeries performed separately. Thanks, Jen
Guest guest
Weber, our son had both done in addition to another procedure to shorten his bottom lid a little bit (I have to look back to find out the medical name). All three procedures were done on each eye back on 11/26/2007. His recovery was very quick although that first day seemed awful. I have posted pictures under . We live in the Chicago area but had the procedures done at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia by Dr. Katowitz. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. We will not probably do anymore surgery until is 4-5 when he'll have the slings redone with his own fascia. I was a bit relieved to do it all at once although I'm sure there are advantages/disadvantages both ways. Best wishes to Braydon and your family. --Anne Weber--Glen Ellyn, IL, USA --- MacKinnon <jennifer.mackinnon@...> wrote: > I'm excited and nervous.
