Hi,

I've reaped such helpful information from this board since was

born 4 years ago, but I rarely post mostly due to being a bit shy and

a bit of being too disorganized to get a lot of time on the computer.

But people on this board are so helpful I wanted to ask about this:

We just found from our son's ERG (electroretinagram)that he has about

a 20% deficiency in his rod/cone functioning, cones being worse than

the rods.

We knew he was light sensitive and his visual acuity was uncorrectable

at 20/80 but the doctor suspects he has Leber's Congenital Amaurosis.

I've been researching like mad (much like when we suspected he had

BPES and verbal apraxia) and found another group for Leber's but

was wondering if anyone on this board has it or has had experience

with it.

'm suspecting that its unrelated to the BPES, since it seems like the

genes associated with it are different from that of BPES.

Thanks for reading,

Debbie Barfoot

P.S.

's pictures are under B. if anyone is interested.
