Guest guest
Hi all, I posted about 4 months ago re: a high FSH level test. I am 31 and likely have Type 1 BPES with premature ovarian failure (POF). Our university-based repro endo MD thought trying a cycle of IVF with my own eggs would be worth it. I had an FSH of 21 (bad), but an antral follicle count of 9 (that's good). However, the follicles didn't respond to the meds and we are back at square one. I am wondering if ANYONE has had success stimulating their ovaries for IVF. If you did, who was your MD and what was the protocol? Our MD has never seen BPES before and is treating me like any other post-menopausal woman. I think that in BPES the situation is different and though we have plenty of follicles, there is something about them that does not respond to the hormones. Of course, we will look into egg donor, but I am curious to know if anyone had success with their own eggs after POF set in. Thanks!
