My daughter had absolutely no problem with her Palate Expander or

braces when she was 13 years old (they were put on at the same time).

Her Orthodontist did remark that she had a very high palate, but had

no problem fitting her for the device. My daughter never complained

of discomfort from the expander, and it was actually removed 2 weeks

earlier than anticipated (her palate widened quicker and easier than

expected).
