Guest guest
, It'd be pretty difficult to compare particular surgeons across the world, and probably somewhat politically incorrect to name them. However, there are what one might call 'centres of excellence' in this type of surgery, where the surgeons' skills are in general very high. For example, many people go to Moorfields hospital in London for their BPES tinkering, and many surgeons from around the world go there to study. I vaguely recall some other folks on this forum who live/d in the Middle East (also Dubai maybe? Can't remember) went to Moorfields relatively recently. And I know the folks at the Sydney Eye Hospital can also do a good job. Some folks on this forum have mentioned that good results can be obtained in Korea, but I'm not sure exactly where. One thing I did recently was to do a Google search for recent ophthalmic surgery-related conventions " nearby " , and look at the agenda, to see which dudes are presenting papers in this field these days and therefore, presumably, doing research at the top of their field. I did a similar online search some years back, to see who was publishing related papers in medical journals, and found an excellent local occuloplastic dude (an Aussie who'd been at Moorfields as a matter o' fact). Guest guest
I have been researching this question since my daughter was born with \\\bleph 3 years ago and yes Moorfields eye hospital has an excellent reputation for being the best in the world and the leading eye surgeon there of 40 years + standing is Mr Collin he has probably had the most experience and has written books on Bleph surgery and trained most of the other leading plastic eye surgeons in uk ie Mr Joshi MR COLLIN STILL OPERATES AT MOORFIELDS BUT SINCE SINCE LAST YEAR ONLY PRIVATELY . HIS PRIVATE OFFICE IS 67 HARLEY STREET London and his fee is very reasonable Therese -- In blepharophimosis , Rob <whatteaux@...> wrote: > > , > > It'd be pretty difficult to compare particular surgeons across the > world, and probably somewhat politically incorrect to name them. > > However, there are what one might call 'centres of excellence' in this > type of surgery, where the surgeons' skills are in general very high. > For example, many people go to Moorfields hospital in London for their > BPES tinkering, and many surgeons from around the world go there to > study.
