Guest guest Posted October 29, 2007 Report Share Posted October 29, 2007 Hi everyone I have posted some recent photos of Kirsten, 5yrs (under Kirsten Parsons). She had a 2nd lid lift done using fascia from her thigh. Mr Collin did it in August at Moorfields, London. I have included a photo of her immediately post op and one of her 8 days later on her 5th birthday. I was concerned that the surgery on her leg would affect her leg strenth or walking. There was no need to be worried as she was walking as normal the next day and also went riding on her bicycle! The stitches in her leg were removed 10 days later. I am no longer using ointment in her eyes at night although sometimes she asks me for it, wow. Her eyes are usually closed when she sleeps, but sometimes are slightly open if she is in a deep sleep and on her back. Kirsten also started at a new school in September. She is in Year 1 now and she has made friends very easily. No one has asked me about her eyes, even the other parents. It makes for a nice change.
