Great questions. Stress=flares, lack of rest=flares. A bad cold or flu=flares

you can be feeling great or at least pretty good. Then WHAM its like starting

from square one again. as a family we have been under extreme stress this month.

and I told my husband, when things settle down I bet I have a flare. well within

few days I did and I'm still hurting. Joints aches and pains, stiffness, but no

P as of yet. I will wait it out. it will settle down. Relafen or celebrex are

much easier on stomach. And my doc prescribed me prilosec to take once a day to

protect my stomach. Countering the fatigue? A good nap. Flares can last a few

days or a few weeks. Enjoy the times when you feel good. a flare may not appear

for long periods of time. Ring sizes went from 7-10. Your normal. when I drop

something or cut myself or just burn something on the stove I get mad. then my

hubby gives me a hug and i go on. the good thing, you get used to it. And it

gets better. I went hiking a couple of weeks ago. It was great. I couldn't move

2 days later. or is that just age?

good luck........casey

Hope does spring eternal indeed! Have you looked into the Files section

yet? If not, you should definitely check out the Success Stories

folder. Even in just randomly reading posts you will find that a lot of

people are better able to stay on this program than others. One thing I

know about this program is that the first time I did it (I went off for

a bit and then came back to it) when I did go off of it and was

allowing myself other foods not on Bee's list...I found that I had lost

my taste for Carbohydrates. Other than veggies, my body really didn't

want any sort of heavy grains. That was brand new to me and very

promising. Every other Candida diet I have tried I have always

experienced the insane mania of my body wanting all kinds of foods. I

remember wanting Brownies (which I don't really even like all that much

in the first place) so terribly that I tried any kind of flour that

wasn't wheat and Stevia to make some so-called " Candida Friendly "

Brownies. They were so disgusting that I felt even worse and more

dissatisfied which led me to go get real brownies! So much for that

diet. But after a few weeks on this one that hasn't happened so

strongly. The good fats really keep you going, the electrolyte drink is

amazing and sooo thirst-quenching and satisfying (I add Stevia to mine

sometimes even:)), and the supplements truly do help with energy

levels! So, on that note, I think you have found the right place!!! I

think the beginning of any lifestyle change is definitely the toughest

part, we're only human after all! Having this great group of people to

share with really helps a ton, especially since we are all going

through the same thing. It really helps to be able to vent and share.

So Welcome! Best of Luck, Crystal

Hi Jill, I am glad to hear that you have cravings too. I had been on bees diet

for 3 months without a slip up and felt nearly cured then xmas came along and

there was chocolate everywhere it was just too much to take and I regret to say

I indulged to the max. Everyday I felt worse and worse as my old symptoms flared

up again. Now whenever I get tempted I remember how I used to feel and push the

cravings to the back of my mind. I find not having chocs etc around is the best

way then you cant be tempted!

Good luck and keep at it remember when you are cured you can eat anything you

like. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!

Lots of love a (uk) xxxxxx

==>Hi Jill in Florida.... Welcome to our group. My candida program is

very different from any others, and that's why it gets such great

results. We also have articles to help you curb your cravings.

However, the first place to start is with the article emailed to you

when you joined " Candida Basics by Bee " , or read the longer version

called " How to Successfully Overcome Candida " - it's the 1st article on

this list: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu2_8.php

Also print out the 2nd articles " Curing Candida, How to Get Started " .

More than likely the type of candida diet you've been on may be causing

you problems, particularly because it does not contain the " right "

fats, and supplements. Candida cannot be cured by simply " killing it

off " nor by cutting off its food supply; it can only be cured by

building up your immune system with proper nutrients (diet plus

supplements).

My website is still under construction so the Recipes and Success

Stories are not posted yet, but all of the Articles are there. For the

recipes and success stories see this Group's Files (left menu).

For problems with cravings see the first article here:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu2_8.php

We are here to help you, so after you read about this program which is

the basis of this group, please ask any questions.

The best in health, Bee

Hi again, Bee!

Thanks for the warm welcome....and yes, I've noticed that your

program is MUCH different than the others. I have already read all

the articles you wanted me to. I am VERY excited to be embarking on

this---what I hope will be my last---attempt to eradicate candida. I

am willing to stick with it, no matter what! I spent more than 2

hours last night printing out NUMEROUS articles from your files and

putting them in a binder. Now I have a " candida workbook " i can refer

to, write in, highlight and take notes! :) I used your " craving

busting " advice today and downed the electrolyte drink, 1 tsp of

coconut oil and some protein...and the craving went away! :) Not only

that, I was in a GREAT mood to boot! Still, I haven't run across the

answer to the stevia question-----stevia isn't on your list of sugars

and sugar substitutes to avoid. I would love some clarity on that.

The liquid stevia I have is made from PURE liquid stevia and the only

other ingredient is grapefruit seed extract, which I've read is GOOD

for combating candida. Thoughts???? Thanks again....I am thrilled to

be a member of the group. Smiles, Jill

==>Smiles. Bee. I'm so happy you are reading and learning so much!

That IS the first step towards total health. Did you read " How to

Successfully Overcome Candida? " because it does discuss Stevia, as

follows:

" Please note, not all sugar substitutes directly feeds Candida, but

all of them damage the immune system, and most are neurotoxic

(causing damage and disturbances to the brain and nervous system).

Stevia is the only sweetener that is allowed for candida sufferers,

but it should only be consumed in very small amounts, because like

all sugar it will increase cravings for sugar and high carbohydrate

foods. " Here's the article:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php

However, like Doug wrote some candida sufferers cannot tolerate

Stevia. People who cannot tolerate it may be able to have it later

on as they progress on this program. Also I wouldn't recommend

taking any kind of processed stevia. You can buy stevia leaf, that

can be ground up, from Mountain Rose Herbs (MRH), along with a great

unrefined virgin coconut oil; 1 gallon costs $28 US plus shipping.

If you buy through the MRH ad on my website I get credit for it - it

is the rectangle ad at the bottom of the page - it has the green

leaves and the Farmer on his tractor (just above the google ads) at:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com

About grapefruit seed extract; it didn't exist when I cured my

candida over 20 years ago, and just imagine squeezing a grapefruit

seed enough to extract any fluid and you get an idea of why I don't

recommend it.

I recommend the more tried & true, well-researched and documented

antifungals, like coconut oil, raw crushed garlic, oil of oregano and

clove oil, all of which I think are much better than grapefruit seed

extract.

Hello everyone,

My son is 7 and has bpes. We have had two surgeries in Toronto. The last

surgery was when he was four. He will need to have more surgeries as he grows.

My concern right now is not his physical apperance, but rather his cognitive

development.

is a smart boy. He recieves all A's in school.(grade2)However, his

behaviours at home are very hard to deal with! I know that ADHD and other LD's

can be part of this sydrome and I have never wanted to label my child. I have

always seen him as an " unique " , one in a million child. That is how I refer to

his syndrome. One in a million!

He has a hard time with textures (food and clothing), following simple

directions, and he is fanatical. This makes life challenging to say the least.

He struggles socially at times. It is becoming more apparent to me, that

" winging " his development behaviourly and socially may not be possible. I work

with special needs children everyday. My job is immplementing programs for thier

social and acedemic success at school! When it comes to my own son I struggle to

see his needs. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I go from here??
