Guest guest
- My Dr. put down on the diagnosis that I have PA and RA, and one time he just put that I have inflamatory arthritis. I've been taking Enbrel since January and can't tell you enough how much it has changed my life. Yes I still have bad days often, but it's not like it was, it use to be everyday! My Dr. said I tested a VERY minimal amt for RA, but I still tested for it, so presto, I'm on Enbrel and loving it! le
Guest guest
Angera- Last year I took the flu shot and didn't have any problems. I have PA and high blood pressure. I didn't get the flu either. I just took my flu shot yesterday, and so far so good, haven't had any problems. Of course I know the flu shot is different from year to year so I'm kinda worried now. How long did it take you before you started feeling bad? Hope your feeling better today! My fingers are crossed! le
Guest guest
- I had the same problem. My jaw has been killing me for a while. My Rheumy sent me to an oral surgeon. He in turn sent me to a Dentist. The Dentist turned out not be on my insurance, which my oral surgeon said he was. I was referred to the Dentist the same day so I couldn't check on it myself. The Dentist wanted to make a hard splint for me to wear all day everyday for 3 months. The only time I could take it out was to eat and brush my teeth. Well the splint would have cost over $300 so I didn't do it. But the Dr. also told me I would have to have a surgery on my jaw if I didn't get the hard splint or if I got the hard splint and it didn't help. It's been a few months now and my jaw aches, but I haven't gotten the hard splint and plan to avoid the surgery at ALL COSTS! :-) le
Guest guest
Annette...thanks so much for the welcome, and the good words on the divorce. I hope it gets behind me soon too... Angera...I get a flu shot every year...and thoroughly believe in them. Have NOT had the flu or a cold during the winter since I have been having them. SO sorry you were sick, maybe you are allergic to something in the shot????? I went to get mine and they didn't have the " stuff " yet...geesh. I had indicators of RA and PA so my doctor made the diagnosis of both. I have had 2 other doctors agree. I was even told it was not uncommon to have more than one immune system disorder. This allowed me to take the Enbrel beginning last March...but I have very recently stopped because I am one of the ones they categorize as a " non-responder " . Many people like you have had great results...how wonderful for you. I hope your improvement is sustained ...good luck. Annette ))

Guest guest
You might try having the psychiatrist say he needs one on one, and the best way to provide that would be having a therapeutic aide teach him in the home. I originally asked for a TA, thinking that's what I needed. But I was looking for someone to help me with the behaviors, not teach him, which is what a TA does. I got the intensive home therapy instead. Loriann
Guest guest
Loriann, Thank you for info. Josiah did have a psychiatrist when we got him diagnosed. His IQ, (according to the tests) was at 45. It seems like so much to get ready for before the school year starts, so, I must get on it right away. Maybe I can get something that permit us to keep him at home, since I can't stand the Special Ed. teacher (if that's what you would call her) that is a head of the program where he went last year. She spends absolutely no time with him and the associates keep quitting, so, she has to keep training them when she could be spending her time with Josiah. If she doesn't want to do it bad enough, I wouldn't want to make her, then, she would take it out on Josiah and I DON'T want that. You gave lots of good ideas to get me going. Guest guest
Hi Connie, One more thing you might try and do, ask the drug companies who make the drugs you wouldn't believe how much they do give to people who just can't afford it, I got my combo feel for 6 months. The only bad thing is they want all your information, but both my husband and I work, and I was approved. I think you would still need a doctor to tell them how much pain meds you would need, I am sure they will help. Just have to find out the makers Of the medicine and call. Most doctors do know how to get in touch with them. If all else fails go to your local clicic. There is no reason in this time and age that any one should have to suffer in pain. Let me know how you make out.
Guest guest
Hi I have an e mail if you want it, to be a volunteer to hook people up with the Manufacturers of the drugs. I can get stuff through that probably. Also Schering Plough I think it is their name will furnish the Combo through Commitment To Care. But, what I need is the Labs and a DR to follow me...I have personally thought about doing the program to help others in this area. I have 2 places so far that I can help people get the drugs they need (Catholic Church outreach program and Life Changers). It goes by your income and also it handles 3rd party scripts. I am going to see these 2 places Friday, in the meantime I am wrestling with my printer so I can print out some application forms and info to take with me.............Connie --- CCampb3234@... wrote: > Hi Connie, > One more thing you might try and > do, ask the drug companies > who make the drugs you wouldn't believe how much > they do give to people who > just can't afford it, I got my combo feel for 6 > months. Guest guest
Dear Angel, If you do a google on woodash lye water you would be overwhelmed. Throughout the centuries, each culture has used lye water in many ways. The mexicans and indians of central america have used it to soak corn for hominy. . . . it is used in tanning leathers. . . used in soap making. . . ..dye setting. . . .I think the chinese use it for cleaning and soaking certain legumes and veggies. . . It is always diluted when used for cleaning. I use it in a spray bottle and wash my hands after using it. It is caustic, so one is careful about getting it on the skin or in the eyes full-strength. Yes, it cuts grease, and rinses off very easily. Go to Dom's site to his cleaning suggestions and he has all you need to know for this simple application of washing fermentation supplies.
