Guest guest
Hi Girls, I too live in Oz, Brisbane to be precise. I have a 4 year old daughter who has BPES and underwent her first surgery 2 years ago with Dr. at the Sydney Eye Hospital. We have chatted to numerous specialists at Sydney Childrens Hosptial along with a few surgeons, so I am more than happy to chat. Is anyone keen for a catch up? , Mother to Antonia. > > From: Jen lin <jcsfranklin@...> > Subject: blepharophimosis Australian members > blepharophimosis > Received: Thursday, 15 January, 2009, 10:38 AM > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi, I am a new Australian member of the site and am so glad to have > > found it. Guest guest
Jen, Welcome. Oz is a big place. Some of us are in Syd-er-ney, some are in sunny Melbourne, a few in Brisvegas, Canberra, Parkes, etc. Where are you? There's a database on this forum's web site that some (not all) folks add their details (like where they live) to. Occasionally Shireen posts extracts per country from it to the forum but I can't remember when the last such posting was. The voices in my head suggest the DB is searchable or sortable but it's 43 degrees (that's Celsius, for our foreign brethren) here today so I'll decline to check too assiduously just now if that's OK! D'oh! Feel free to contact me if you want a chat or local info. Rob W (Sydney) Jen lin wrote: > Hi, I am a new Australian member of the site and am so glad to have > found it. I'm in USA, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area. Until my son was born, never met another BPES-er. My son has had about 5 operations on his eyes, (also has micro-ophtalmia in left eye and he's 8yo). I find I'm having confused emotions about the whole thing. Just joined. Marty
Guest guest
Hi , Just thought Id jump in with a quick hi, I live in UK at mo. My sister lives in Eltham, Melbourne, Aus. Me and my daughter have BPES, we are coming next year (2010) to visit, would be great to meet up with a few people from this site. I know its a long way off, but saw your mail and by the time I get to reply next year would have probably forgotten, how to get in contact. Have a great weekend.
