Guest guest
Hi , You have a lot on your plate right now. I have been there, so I know how you feel. The most important, is find a GOOD rheumy. Is your doctor going to wean you off the prednisone? When I first started mtx, I started taking it on Friday night, right before bed. I would avoid the sickness. You need to make sure when you take mtx, you have time to relax, or that is what I needed. Make sure you take folic acid every day, except mtx day. I now do mtx injections, makes life easier for me. I don't really get sick at my stomach, maybe fatigue,(which I always have.) If you have a lot of problems with the pills, you might ask about the mtx injections. Just let your doctor know how your feeling, and if a med doesn't work for you, find out what else is out there for you. This is a great place to find people who understand. Lots of good info, and the RA family can help you through just about anything. I am here if you ever need someone to chat with. Its realy hard for family to deal with this. They don't know what to say or do. I had to stop working at 39, I just couldn't do it anymore. I will be 46 this month, I feel 80. I do hope they have caught your RA early, and the meds will help you so much. Gentle hugs, Tawny > > I'm new to RA I've been in ALOT of pain. I'm very scared that it never goes away. Between my 40hr a week job and my 4 year and my husband I feel like nobody understands. My husband tries to understand. I really scared of the all the meds. I'm on pred. and MTX and ultram... just took my first dose of thr MTX... I hope it works/// I'm just looking for people to talk with that understand... Looking forward to hearing from you.... > >
