Guest guest
Hi everyone, I posted awhile ago talking about how I had realised that there were two different procedures for the eylid lift. The first, using tendon from the leg, and the 2nd shortening of the muscle already in the lid.I also said that I was hoping that my daughter Jess could have the 2nd option, as it seemed a better option....We spoke to Jessie's specialists and now I understand why they have never mentioned the 2nd option to us.Apparently, if she was able to lift her lid (naturally without any surgery) 5mms they would be able to just shorten the muscle in the lid, but as she can only lift her lids 3.5mms they have to use the tendon in the leg, and go with the sling procedure, as her muscle thats there just isnt strong enough and her case too severe to be able to go the other option. Ahhh the difference 1.5mms makes hey!!! Anyway I just thought I would share this with you. Regards, Machaela (oz)
