Guest guest
Hi Robin, Welcome to the group, but sorry that you have RA. My RA started with the new millenium, in early 2001. We do understand what it's like to have RA and other autoimmune diseases. You can come here to whine or let off steam or whatever. Do you have a good rheumatologist? What meds are you on? Is your RA under good control? I have been on methotrexate, then Arava, and now Enbrel. I am having very good results with Enbrel. Tell us more about yourself. Guest guest
Thanks for the responses. My implants are saline, high profile, under the muscle. I am in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and my doctor is Gallegos, MD. He is board certified. Based on his bedside manner, I can almost surely predict that he will deny any symptoms relating to my implants. I am seeing him today and I will ask him about the En Bloc procedure. Based on what his fees wilwill be, I may look for another plastic surgeon. If anyone knows of a good surgeon in the Albuquerque area, I would be grateful for any information! Yes, I do believe it is time to take them out. I never would have thought that I would have so many problems. This is my third CC in less than a year. This one seems more severe than the last two, as it is much more painful. Also, is the recovery time for explantation the same or worse than the initial implantation itself. Thanks so much!
Guest guest
From Albuquerque, I would go to Denver to Dr. Huang or Dallas to Dr. Melmed. They are on our list. If your doctor is not, I do not think I would let him remove them. Recovery is individual, and it is hard to say. What was your recovery time like when they were implanted? Guest guest
I think you are making a good decision. And it is wise to find a surgeon who believes that implants can make you ill. They are much more likely to be careful during the explant and not argue about an en bloc removal of the capsules as well. Dr. Melmed in dallas texas comes highly recommended and he believes implants make women sick. Would you be able to travel to see him? I live in illinois but I went to Dr.Feng in cleveland. Lastly, my explant was easier than my implant. I breezed through it and had absolutely no problem nor pain. I wish everything could be that easy! I hope that you will be able to get things scheduled soon. Good luck. Hugs, kathy > > Thanks for the responses. My implants are saline, high profile, > under the muscle. Guest guest
Hi Audrey I was also seeing a kinesiologist, but wasn't convinced, though I really wanted to be. He would test me and adjust me, I would leave with a bag full of supplements, and feel worse after the adjustment and the supplements. Maybe that means what he was doing was the right thing and I was herxing. I just wasn't sure, and it was getting too expensive for me to continue. In desperation, hearing you talk about how much he helped you, I am tempted to return. How often were you going, and did the number of visits decrease after a while? I have hope we will all recover from this ordeal, (patience patience patience!). I was explanted in October and immediately felt better. Since then I have gone up and down, right now feeling as bad as I ever did with implants. Jenna however, who was explanted on the same day as me, got better quickly. I hope yours is quick like hers! Guest guest
First, this sounds weird, we got a magnetic mattress pad for our bed. It really helped with the joint pain and muscle cramps that were keeping me awake at night. I started sleeping better at night. I did a candida cleanse, an ultima-full body cleanse, and a liver cleanse. My husband and I did a wonderful colon cleanse together from DrNatura.com. After one month of this cleanse he saw significant improvement with his allergies and asthma. I did two months of the program, and I haven't been constipated since. I also did the Maker's diet, including all the recommended supplements. I did pass on the cleanzology. It was too weird for me, and I had already switched to all natural grooming supplies anyway. The supplements I used were different according to results of a meridian stress tests. Some of them included a liver support, adrenal support, anti-oxidants, something called Andrographis Complex, and Betaine Hydrochloride. I was also one who never sweats. I liked this about me, but as it turns out is very bad because the skin is a major organ for detoxing. My first meridian stress test showed that my skin was going into degeneration stage. So my kinesiologist suggested rubbing lemons on my skin right after soaking in a hot tub every night and going to a dry sauna 4 days a week. My first trip to the sauna I didn't even sweat after 45 min. Now I sweat buckets in only minuets. My last meridian stress test showed my skin as functioning normally. Dr. Feng doesn't want me to take any herbal supplements starting three weeks before surgery, but I do intend to pick up my whole regimen as soon as it is safe to do so. I almost forgot....Noni Juice....I don't know to what significance it helped but it was highly recommended for cellular regeneration. I hoped this helped. auntsisnj <auntsisnj@...> wrote: ,What type of herbs/supplements are you taking? You've got the same type of body as me, full butt, small top. Guest guest
, I have been sleeping on a magnetic mattress for years and it has made a tremendous difference. My sister has fibromyalgia, and when she travels away from her magnetic mattress, it gets much worse. I use magnets when my knee hurts, when my back hurts, etc. They help tremendously. I totally believe that magnets help many of us. Lynda At 11:34 AM 1/11/2006, you wrote: >First, this sounds weird, we got a magnetic mattress pad for our >bed. Guest guest
We got a great queen size magnetic mattress pad for $195 with free shipping from www.magneticservices.com. You will want one that has all a 15" penetration field, north polarity, and between 3950-4200 Gauss Strenth, these are supposed to be the strongest recommended for arthritic pain. Like I said before, I slept a whole lot better after getting this. I don't know how it works, but hey.....I don't really care. Warning!!! Don't leave your purse or wallet on the bed. It may erase credid cards. mikat828 <mikat828@...> wrote: -Where do you get a magnetic mattress? Are they expensive? Guest guest
Amit I am curious, did you try any ayurvedic treatment for MS? There are people pressuring me to jsut give up everything and go to India for a few months to get some help from ayurvedic docs. The thing is htat all indians I know are so unfamiliar iwht MS.They aall think ive got some exotic form or arthritis and refuse to believe this is getting worse, no one believes m e it seems. Guest guest
ayurvedic medicine certainly has its place in bringing the body to a state of balance. However, an immune system that is out of whack-I don't think so. It isn't aggressive enough. It is a slow process and your ms will probably move quicker than the remedies they give you so you really need the tried and true. LDN, diet, exercise, and whatever else. For me it is calcium eap injections. You need to be very selective in the choices you choose. You want them to be effective and there just isn't much research with that philosophy managing the ms condition. Re: paranoid feeling on 1st dose. Guest guest
Liquid LDN made from the 50mg ReVia tablets needs no filler. A filler is added for capsules only.
Guest guest
Lolita, I would be happy with the health that you hopefully now enjoy, and be happy that you can take care of that child - because there are alot of women here who have children and can barely take care of them because they are ill due to implants. I apologize for being so blunt, but I wish I had found this site one year ago when I was looking into getting implants, because had I known then what I know now, I never would have gone through with the breast augmentation. I had my implants done in May of 2005 and I had them removed in November of 2005. I'm still paying the credit card bill from the first surgery, and the second surgery was just as expensive. Aside from the fact that my health was impacted by the implants, I absolutely hated having them in my body. They did not make me feel better about myself, they made me feel worse about myself, and to this day I am struggling to get the self-esteem back that I lost when I got implants. Feeling better about yourself is something that comes from within, it does not come from a set of implants. You ask if you could die from this - and unfortunately the answer is yes. There have been women who have died as a result of implant illness, and there are countless others whose health has suffered incredibly, and their lives are totally changed due to the illness they suffer. Being sick from implants impacts the entire family. Many women are too sick to work, or to take care of their families. This is the reality of the situation. Will everyone who gets implants become this ill? No. Whether you're willing to roll the dice and gamble with your health is totally up to you - and if you do roll the dice and get sick, we'll be here with open arms to help you - but my advice is appreciate the body that your maker gave you, and learn to love yourself as you are. Guest guest
HI. You could certainly get sick from implants. The hundreds of women on this site can attest to that. Have you thought of having a lift? That might be a reasonable alternative and you wouldn't have to ever worry about implants that at the very least can rupture, and also have the capability of making you ill with autoimmune disease.
