Guest guest
Hi Maeve My name is Joyce. I have 2 daughters with BPES. My oldest is 15 and youngest is 11 years old. You can view there photos under Mayowa and Tina. I will upload some more recent photos of my girls so you can see for yourself. A picture is worth a thousand words. Their eyebrows were not affected at all. They were swollen for about two weeks and eventually everything calmed down. Mayowa has had to have a few surgeries mainly because she is prone to scarring but on the whole she is totally happy with the results. Check there photos and I will add more by end of today. Hope this helps Joyce London UK

Guest guest
Hi Maeve, It's here, 's mum (we live in Maynooth, County Kildare) Where abouts are you living in Ireland? Which surgeon are you using in Ireland? has had two ops one in Ireland (slings) and one in UK with Mr Collin (Eye Widening). You'd be more than welcome to come meet with (3yrs old) to see her post-op eyes! She had eye widening in April, so not that long since! As the other guys have said, the site is full of pics of before and after shots which are always helpful! If we can be of any help to you, seeing as we are in Ireland - please don't hesitate to get in touch with me, and hopefully we can meet up with your family and you! Take care, From: maeveokeefe <maeveokeefe@...>blepharophimosis Sent: Tuesday, 11 August, 2009 18:36:38Subject: blepharophimosis Getting the operation maybe. Hey guys, Its Maeve from Ireland (14 y/o)IM FREAKING OUT! AHHH!Im going to see an eye doctor on the 14th about that operation to improve appearance of the eyes with BPES.I saw a report on what would happen, and Im so scared! It sounds like my appearance might be worse before it gets better? Is that true? I also vaguely remember not having an eyebrow after an operation as a kid, would that happen as well this time?If anyone could possibly reply ASAP! with any details on the effect on the appearance after the various surgeries? It has 3 stages as far as Im aware, and I honestly cannot afford to make my appearance any worse than it is at the moment, not much confidence you know =PAny reply would be GREATLY appreciated ThanksMaeve.XSend instant messages to your online friends http://uk.messenger. Guest guest
Hey there Maeve, Any operation is scary and you have a right to be freaking out. It depends on the type of operation as to how you will heal. With all operations it takes a little while for the scars to settle down. You will have to think about the long term results, and what a more handsome bloke you will be after it is all over. Best of luck Leanne -Australia From: maeveokeefe <maeveokeefe@...>blepharophimosis Sent: Wednesday, August 12, 2009 3:36:38 AMSubject: blepharophimosis Getting the operation maybe. Guest guest
> I am interested in this because im 21 and its hard to see before and after surgery shots on people who arent babies. You can see a picture of me in the folder called h but someone else posted their own photos in there too. I want to know what doctor you used. It looks so natural afterwards. I either want to stay the way i am (aka not do it at all) as opposed to coming out looking unnatural. Any help you can give would be amazing. Ive obviously been this way my whole life but i cant deal with it anymore and i want to go to someone who knows what they are doing. > Hi Maeve > > My name is Joyce. I have 2 daughters with BPES.
