Guest guest
Hi .. I would like to switch to the digest version of this list. How do I go about doing that? Janine ---------- From: Mom2Q Sent: February 16, 1999 8:57 AM AA Vaccine list Subject: Welcome to all HI everyone, I'm and I " own " this list. We have had quite a few people join in the last week or two so I wanted to welcome everyone!! There is almost 100 people on the list now which is just wonderful! The wrost part of it all is that we are scattered all over North America. It's just too bad that I don't have all of you as neighbours! For everyone that just joined you are able to go to onelist.com and read all the previous messages from the list. There is lots of great info in the digests from this list. You can view the archives at /archives.cgi/Vaccinations There are 122 digests so beware! I just caught up on the posts this morning and would just like to say a few things. I do agree with the posts about breastfeeding. My daughter is 2.5 years old and still breastfed and we are expecting #2 in June. My daughter has never had more than a runny nose or fever that is easily treated with herbs/homeopathy. She has never had a ear infection, antibiotics or tylenol. I do attribute that to breastfeeding and not vaccinating. We are also attachment parents too. I have a webpage too that will list vaccine info websites and books. My homepage is at www.geocities.com/Heartland/Fields/2460 There is also some info on other stuff too like attachment parenting, breastfeeding, etc... Some people may feel overwhelmed with posts from this list. Some days there are quite a few posts and other days none. IF you feel like you are getting too many posts you can switch to a digest version. All this means is that you will receive all the posts together in one e-mail for each day. If this is still too much mail I can set your account to no mail but this will then allow you to go through the archived posts whenever you have time and still keep up with the info. The only way you can view the archives is to belong to this list. Please let me know if you need to change your account. I think that is all I wanted to mention. If anyone has any questions please post them! Welcome again!! List Owner
Guest guest
nicole, your message made me once more realize what a great, great job you're doing! imagine, how much support you're giving to all of us who feel intimidated by the bossy school secretaries, you're building up good karma for lifetimes to come!!! thank you for doing this, i am forever grateful to you and hope that one day i can repay you! now, since i've only been living in the usa for a few months, i kind of look at everything, critically, and i've come across 'oprah'. i think she's a great woman. being into vegetarianism myself, i've come across her court case which she eventually won, and i think she's done a great job. i've written a message to her begging her to put the 'non-vaccination' issue to her viewers. i think she could give great support to this, since she seems to be pretty much full of common sense and down to earth. however, i believe that, since she is inundated with requests on all subjects, it would be immensely helpful, if we ALL wrote to her asking her the same thing! don't you think we could get somewhere with that. i mean, there seem to be a lot of people out there who, up to now, blindly believe that what your dr. tells you is the right thing, but if oprah shows it on her show that it may not be the right thing, those people will start thinking... so, i'm asking everyone of you, please write to oprah, go to her website at http//www.oprah.com, look for the 'e-mail us' site and send her an e-mail that you would like to see a feature on vaccination vs. non-vaccination and the side-effects on vaccination etc. i'm sure that way, we'll get an even wider acceptance! after all, she's on abc, which is the channel that showed 20/20!!! there's not a lot nowadays that i feel really passionate, but non-immunization is one of those subjects, and i think it would help immensely if our quest is taken to the chat show that so many americans watch! thank you for reading this. love and light claudia ---Mom2Q <mom2q@...> wrote: > > HI everyone, > > I'm and I " own " this list. Guest guest
thank you sue! i guess the more people write to her the more likely she will be to put it on her show. and if the issue gets such attention, just imagine, how many people would turn against immunization. gosh, i bet the rate of auto-immune diseases etc would drop right down then, and eventually the government would be forced to make vaccines completely voluntary, wouldn't it be great! love and light claudia ---sue <sue@...> wrote: > > From: sue <sue@...> > > good idea !! Guest guest
Hi All, Hi Clare, You’re so right! I used to hate my eyes, I’ve hated the way how I’ve looked like when I was a teen. I’ve asked my self why me? And all this children at school – this doesn’t help to build your self confidence... I was thinking nobody ever will fall in love with me because of my eyes, because of how I look like... and now!?! Look at me! I'm getting married in June... Would you believe??? I’ve found a person who adores me and loves me, he things I'm beautiful and my eyes are amazing... People say I have amazing smile and I have lashes like a princess My boyfriend loves me just like I am... However I've always felt like I need to be better then the others, so people will give me a chance to better know me before judging... Like for example on job's interviews, first impression - well maybe not the best in my case, so I need to pursue them with my intelligence, sense of humor, knowledge and experience… I often feel I need to try double so hard as the others to achieve the same… Do you feel the same??? We’re all living in this western culture, where people think the most important is how you look like and if you different, you're worse... And to be honest, there are no perfect people, everybody has something... In the long run the beauty will go and what you have in your heart and in your mind will left… Don’t forget it ever! My sister, she is five years younger then me. She didn't develop this self-confidence, for which I’ve worked so hard over the years - she never even had a boyfriend... Because she doesn’t think she is amazing, the other people can’t see it too… I really hope, she will find a person who will see how absolutely amazing is she, who will appreciate her great sense of humor, intelligence and wide knowledge and person who will truly believe she is beautiful... the most beautiful for him... Those of you, who still have small children, will need work very hard, to help them develope their selfconfindance, so important for the future... Just me short impressions to what you wrote Clare... All the best! Yours Kasia 2009/5/21 Clare Teale <clareteale@...> > > > HI all, welcome welcome to all, this site is an amazing place of support and virtual hugs, a place to laugh and a place most of us at some point will cry. > > I am Clare Teale (40) my daughter is Emy (14) and we both have BPES (my hubby and sons dont). I was the first in my family and had my ops at 14, I was petrified and excited, I couldnt wait, but didnt really understand what was going on. > > I spent my life tilting my head backwards, till the age of 14 then as someone said earlier it took time after the ops to settle donw, but the proceedure itself was not as bad as I thought at all. Bruising and swelling a little tiny bit, looked like permanent green and yellow eyeshadow (in the early 80s this was a good thing - honest), soon went away. I am absolutely over the moon I had the ops, even though it was a really tough time to have them a girl age 14. I was teased, but if it wasnt my eyes it would have been my hair, or that fact that I am big. I learnt how to smile, for anyone who knows me and has met us you will understand the smile bit. > > My daughter Emy is fab, she sails through life confident happy of course she has moments of why me, but overall she deals with all of the things life throws at her. She has BPES her ops were at 4 years ole, in out and over (tiny bit of bruise and she didnt like the drops much). It was the best choice we made. > > We did huge research and so did my mum (she was told I was blind and sent home), the surgeon Mr Colin in London did my ops all those years ago, so we tracked him down and he operatied on Emy (I fought everyday for this to happen - with our NHS system this process is not that easy). > > My advice to ayone is to find out as much as poss, use a surgeon has been recommended if poss, or see their work. Be smart about it, get advice from professionals and support from us lot on this site. > > When Emy started to walk, we had to move objects out of her way, she would often bump into things that were not in her direction vision. but she was fine. > > One last thing, my son who is 11 has more problems and issues with others than my daughter and he does not have BPES. > > I thinkit is really important to take every single person as an individual and give them the confidence, assertiveness and love teach all to smile its wonderful. It takes focus off, and give you time to simply walk away. No problems. > > This is a better way for you and your life than worrying about it all, and its betteron the stress levels too. Its got me out of many scrapes. > > I am a personal development trainer and coach and I spend my days supporting people who want to make better life choices for themselves. > > Hope this tiny bit helps. > > Clare > x > > > > From: leanne30nz <tltne@...> > Subject: blepharophimosis Re: Tips/Pointers on Helping my Toddler to Walk > blepharophimosis > Date: Wednesday, 20 May, 2009, 11:17 PM > > Hi there: > > I read your post and get kind of speechless as its funny how having BPES effects some people but not others.... Firstly let me say I am not insulting anyone thats for sure! But our little boy Ethan (wearing pumpkin suit) is now 6 years old...We got the full diagnosis that he had Bleph when he was 6 weeks old. And apart from getting his eyesight tested by his opthalmologist twice a year nothing is any different with him in camparison to our first son who does not have bleph. Ethan is the first in our family to have it so we were a little surprised when he didn't open his eyes after he was born, but nothing else is different about him at all. He developed just the same as his big brother, must admit he did walk about 1 month later but no big deal, he was fully walking be 13 months:) He has never tilted his head back to see just raised his eyebrows:)He had his first surgery a few months ago at age 6, they did a lift just to open the eye up more, he came through it like a champ! Please view his operation pics b4 and after, its amazing, or should I say he did amazing:)It didn't even faze him thank god. He will most likely not have any other ops...They took his fascia lata from his leg so he has a really cool 2 inch scar, he digs his scars:) It leaves a good story to tell:) Anyways...Just wanted to share that and let you know what our opthalmologust told us from the beginning, and thats if his pupils are exposed then he is seeing just like you and me, although let me say that I know other cases may be more severe than Ethans, we have been really lucky...he does wear glasses for an astigmatism, has done since age 3.5, but MANY people have an astigmatism so can't say whether it is related either...Take care, and good luck with that walking:) > > Leanne and family NZ > > > > Hi All~ > > > > My son was born with blepharophimosis. ..it was so hard to digest this because I never heard of it and there is really not much information on this disease..... so you can just imagine what the first year for us must have been...it felt like we are at the hospital every other day meeting with all the different specialists that will be involved in my child's life. He had his first surgery on 12/18/2009 and his doctor was very pleased with it....my challenge now is its difficult watching him struggle to begin walking...I was wondering if there is anyone out there that could give me some tips or pointers on how to help my little angel out. I have giving him a little chair which he pushed again while he is walking but I don't want he to depend on this all the time. > > > > Any help or suggestion would greatly be appreciated. .. > > > > >
