Connie...Connie...Connie, Belive it or not...I was just getting ready to

e-mail everyone regarding the scalp problem!!!!!!! My son has had the most

sensitive skin sinve birth. His ped first dx him as having cradle cap. Then

it got so bad, his scalp was cracked and oozing. He now has eczema. Dr

suggested I use Head and Shoulders. His scalp had cleared up but these last

couple of days it flared up again. It is getting so bad that it's crusty and

yellow. I had tried everything that I can think of. Health food store had

recommened Simicort cream. This was too strong and caused skin to get

inflamed. I just recently started giving him biotin. I have read that skin

problem can result from lack of biotin in system. I had even changed his

formula and didnot work either. The strange thing is, scalp is bad only on

top of head were helmet is cut out. He is OK when helmet is on. The minute we

take it off he tries to scratch and pull his hair. We had 6mos check up on

Thurs. and DR said OH....he has craddle cap. He told us not to worry and give

him benedryl at night. I don't know what else to do and worry about the

summer months to come. Belinda(Indiana)

Maggie is doing great with her helmet! She ignores it completely.

We do have to use her chin strap at night, but other than that she's

great.

Her only problem is a flaky scalp. REALLY FLAKY! It looks like

really bad cradle cap. Has anyone had this happen? What do I do?

Do I treat it like cradle cap? Our Ped. suggested baby oil? Any

ideas?

Thanks,

Connie

Hi Connie!

Definitely give the baby oil a try. If you can find jojoba oil, I prefer to use that. It seemed to work better when Grace was going through the flaky head stage. She hasn't had baby dandruff due to the band, though. Curious. Does Maggie have a lot of hair? Probably not, if you're noticing flakes easily.

Well, I'm stumped right now. Good luck, glad everything's working out really well otherwise!

Belinda,

Maggie's doc said to expect her scalp to get dry and flaky with the

helmet. He said that when they sweat (buckets it seems, with the

helmet) that also washes out the natural oils in their scalp causing

the dry, flaky skin.

I've tried treating it like cradle cap by rubbing baby oil on her

scalp before her bath (oohs and aahs from Maggie) then shampooing and

brushing out flakes. I've done this for two days and see some

improvement. I'll cross my fingers.

You could try it. You should mix it up as AMMS (acid, wait 3 minutes) and then dilute with water. Be sure to rinse it off within 1 minute. Leaving it on longer might bother sensitive skin.

Samala,

-------Original Message-------

I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on using the MMS topically for my scalp issues and if so how I might go about that.

Right now, I am going to try to use the perscription shampoo my doctor gave me. But I thought maybe the MMS topically could work too.

Would it not work like a bleach on the hair?

Hmmm. Dunno. I guess I would try 6 drops MMS (then add acid, wait 3 minutes, add water) because for the tooth problems Jim recommends 6 drops. So I'd try that, as I know that works. Cured my gum infection that way, so it seems that it would be strong enough for a scalp problem.

Usually it's a half cup of water. But you can add more and it will still work. I did for my gum problem, because I didn't like how sour it tasted with just the half cup, so I added at least 3/4 cup.

Hi Kathy,

Thank you so much for those instructions! I think it was the diarrhea that stripped my flora.

As for the paradophilus, I love it. It is extremely pricey, but I have to take handfuls of the other

Pills to get the same effects as I capful of the paradophilus. Right now I am waiting for a new shipment

Of it and have to use regular pills. I use the pb8, threelac, and other ones, but I like the paradoph. Best.

I kind of don't want to be blond, but I guess if it would help my scalp I could always dye it back.

My daughter is getting bat mitzvahed next SAt. And I don't think I will try this till after.

Thanks again,

Hi ,

It's good to get to know you a bit! Thanks for posting a reply.

This is what you posted and what I responded to:

"Once you have the diarrhea, and probably before, the MMS is not selective in killing pathogens. It seems to kill both the good and the bad. "

I was rebutting that statement. I don't think that it is true. And I think we need to be clear about what we are saying about it for newbies.

I hope you get better soon! My hubby also had some diarrhea lately, attributed it to my seasonings, so I made everything bland and he is good now. He was not on MMS, but I was, was it sympathy? just kidding. I also gave him psyllium and PB-8 probiotics.

You might want to check yourself for allergies too. Or you could do the mineral water enema to cleanse the colon and the retention enema with the probiotics in it to replace the good guys. It cleared up my diarrhea in a flash and also healed my aching behind. I also applied vitamin E to the poor overworked tissues. (make sure it's a good brand, Natural Factors E mixed tocopherols 400 IU, lot 527704, is rancid. It smells really bad. The company has not responded to phone calls or email, so I'm not buying anymore supplements from them. Plus I rated them on iHerb.com.)

What the MMS was doing, if I understand it correctly, was destroying the virus, which would give you more diarrhea, but the diarrhea is the killed virus and your body wanting to get rid of it pronto. Does that make sense? I'm taking 12 drops twice a day without any diarrhea now that I've learned to up the dosage slowly.

How do you like the paradolphilus? I love my PB-8.

I'm wondering if the cost of paradophilus is justified. What's your honest opinion?

Oh, here is a quote from Jim book regarding sore on the scalp. I'm thinking it would probably clear up dandruff too.

Sores on the head: Follow the instructions for the insect bites above, but be sure to add ½ glass of water to the 10-drop solution of MMS and vinegar. When combed into the hair with enough solution to penetrate to the scalp it will cure most head sores in a few hours. If you use it daily it makes for a healthy scalp, but it also makes you a blond. In other words once or twice a month is okay, but when used daily you begin to notice that your hair is bleaching blond after a few days. (It is a very nice blond.)

An idea you might want to try, but of course it's up to you...

put the MMS with a little DMSO, so you will get better absorption.

As far as the hair bleaching, I don't know if that happens for

everyone or not....because some folks on the H2O2 loop have mentioned

having some bleaching, but I never did (and I bathed with a lot, and

soaked my head too.

Good idea. I will try that when I do the rinse. Will let you know how it goes.

I used to use H202 on my face as a spray to help my skin and it did bleach my eyebrows.

cool. i've had some kind of bad dandruff all my life. even got so bad while doing college that i couldn't stay awake more than 2 hours and would just pass out. prescription strength selenium sulfide shampoo cured me immediately with the first use. selsun blue for maintenance use since has kept it non-symptomatic. more recently i don't use shampoo at all, instead using dr. bronners hemp castile soap thinned out with CSilver and/or tetrasilver tetroxide....this works ok, but since i'm using the MMS internally it seems fun to go for the blond at the same time. i was blond as a baby but turned rapidly dark brown at about 1.5yrs (norwegian/swede/native american blend), and CS has turned my eyes from multi-colored back to almost pure blue over the last year. from the CSilver use my hair has darkened to almost blue-black, which i suspect is from silver buildup on the hairs. people have noticed the big changes in my eyes, skin, and hair from the CSilver so it would now be great fun to go blond over the winter and it might even kill off the damned dandruff once and for all. i might keep my hair super short for the occasion, like shave it and then let it grow out with MMS rinses.

I tried the MMS on my scalp and had good results. I was worried about

what it might do to the color (natural) of my hair but decided that 1

minute probably wasn't long enough to change that.

Usually by evening my scalp is starting to itch but after using the MMS

it feels good. We'll see how it lasts.

I would love to hear if this works. My sister wants to try it on a rash she has.
