Hiya Everyone, Well his Gallium scan came back Cold.......no hot spots!!!! So, they're doing an angiography with Lipiodol. It's type of dye that's put in his groin and traced after two weeks of it settling in his liver. It's scanned through an angiogram or the other way around, either way they're going to find out what this 2 centimeter spot is no matter what, but they will NOT do a biopsy of it because of many different factors including spreading of cells during a biopsy. I think I've read everything I can about Lipiodol, very interesting drug, and used for different reasons. After this test if nothing is found they are going to moniter it through MRI's every month to make sure there is no growth. He has 30% liver function and we get full blood test results every week from the hepatology nurse we see weekly. His overall health is tremendous, his viral load has

dropped over 2.5 logs and they feel it would have been gone if he was able to take his full doses of Peg/shots but can't due to his low platelets. They are taking extremley good care of him, and just for the record, nuclear medicine is awesome. These doctors are just fascinating along with brilliant human beings. They are truly gifted. We feel very fortunate for the care he receives. Here people tend to complain about medical treatment that waiting times are to long etc...I'd like to say this about Canada and I'm an American who fell in love with a Canadian, this health system is the stuff....they do not rate anyone different because of the health insurance they have, they don't make you empty a bit of savings you've earned, it's just so different. Thanks so much for caring and responding, you guys are just the greatest!! Hugs, elizabethnv1 <elizabethnv1@...> wrote: I sure wish you could get me the correct spelling of the name of the test . Then I could get some info for you and post it . Test Name??? Hiya Eliz, Jackie and everyone, My husband had his Gallium this morning, we'll have results tomorrow, but in the meantime, they set up another test for Monday, It's something like an angiogram thru his groin but called a Lupital(Spelling). His Liver surgeon is suggesting this test. I really prefer not to call down there again as we have been in that hospital for 3 days doing testing...etc. Thanks, Hugs, Autos. Looking for a sweet ride?
