Hi everyone

Today I got an email saying that the Group that we all belong to is moving to another site. I don’t know anything about this, so I will investigate.

I can’t speak on behalf of everyone, but I think that has served us well, and we seem to have some good facilities, like the photo albums, polls, database, and archives of messages.

Please let me investigate before making any hasty decisions.  I will contact the person who sent out the emails and see what’s the background.

Hmmmm.

This all looks a bit familiar. Whatever happened to the 'CarePlace'

thing that popped up in 2007? This looks a lot like another one of

those. I haven't look at that since 2007, so I can't speak for its

success, but it appears to be suffering some disrepair/neglect.

I, for one, don't really want or need a " more interactive experience " , a

la Facebook. Do others? That's not what the forum is for.

I couldn't agree with you more, Rob! I don't think we really need any other place to interact with each other, I like the group just the way it is in the place where it is now. Kasia

One sentence in his email that made me really wonder was

" The will remain open to current members but will eventually become

only a resource for archived information. New members are no longer being

allowed to join the and are being directed to HealthShare Groups "

to me that almost puts us in a difficult position because of course we welcome

ALL new members... it almost seems we have no choice if we ever want new BPES

members to join... is there any way around this??

This already happening - if you try and follow the link from the BPES website

then it it tells you to go to the healthshare site as this group is no

longer taking new members!!
