Guest guest
Jenn...although biopsies ar a valuable diagnostic tool it is also an important way to see how much damage has been done. This is a progressive disease that will lead too cirrhosis if not checked. Cirrhosis itself is progressive and the LFTS that we talk about are not actually function tests at all, but rather monitor activity. It is not only possible to have normal numbers and still have cirrhosis it is also probabitlty (not to mention certainty) that those with serious cirrhosis have normal LFTs. Make sure you keep monitoring yourself. love jerry

Guest guest
, Boating! Are you crazy?!! Are you insane?!! lol. I know how you felt. I get stir crazy, too. LOL! I wanted like crazy to do some flower gardening. I called my physical therapist, & she said if I want to have lots of back spasms & go back to the brace, by all means, bend over & start gardening. Guess I'll have to break down & hire a gardener. Gee, maybe I can have him plant some of those funny plants y'all have been talking 'bout. By all means, vent. That's better than what I did yesterday evening when I yelled at my husband! Okay, I just looked at the test, & the last one stumped me. I just got a jury summons. Guest guest
Sounds like you need a vacation, how about you come to Ohio, spend time with me and go see my docs? Actually that sentence was going to say you come here and I'll go to FL, but I'd much rather have some fun company and try to help you out! Bring the Pepsi and the pot LMAO JK HAHA Gimme a call and we'll talk, am serious tho, you need meds and a doc and I'd be happy to call and see if they take that insurance, I know your hands are VERY full down there but you need " YOU " time to get better, focus on yourself. Think about it for a while, and don't think I'm joking. We don't have a lot of room but Kaylee's bed in the living room (as I said we have a 1 bed apt and her bed wont fit in the bedroom with mine) is bunk beds, bottom bunk is a full size futon and I can sleep on that and you're welcome to take my bedroom over for the duration.. think about it and we'll talk later Sorry you're in so much pain tonight! Guest guest
Ahh I've been wanting to plant flowers too, just don't have the extra few bucks to do it. I got lucky when I moved to this apt, its ground floor, I walk from the sidewalk right to my front door... anyhow, there's a box on the outside that I put a long flowerbox on, then have 2 little round ones on each side. I plant those b/c they are right at the perfect level. The swan planter and the one my neighbor gave us (big square one) that sit on either side of the front porch step Kaylee does the planting. No zucchini or cucumbers as our side of the bldg has clay for dirt, unfortunately... but I have a friend of the family that gives me plenty zucchini thankfully each year and I bake loads of bread for her and everyone else, among other things. Ask the kids in the neighborhood to do your planting, kids Kaylee's age (10) I know would have a ball doing it, and with a little supervision and help could do a great job... that and a popsicle LOL Try it I know Kaylee would do it in a heartbeat and would have fun doing it, and do a good job, kids love the dirt! As for the jury duty, easy, doctors note... lol Connie RE: Hey > , > Boating! Are you crazy?!! Are you insane?!! lol. I know how you felt. I > get stir crazy, too. LOL! Guest guest
Connie, Kids gardening in my neighborhood... That usually happens through age 6 around here. My kids used to garden with me all the way through age 10. Not anymore! They are swamped with homework, baseball, swimming, music (concert time of year), musicals (again that time of year), & when they have free time -- they want to play or gab with their friends! LOL. As for my neighbors' kids, they all sniff at gardening b/c nearly everyone has a gardener. Will they do it for money? NO! They all get big allowances. (They already know I give out free cookies when they stop by.) There's one little girl that might be interested, but knowing her mom, she wouldn't want her little girl to get dirty with -- dirt! LOL. We are one of 3 households in my neighborhood that actually like to garden ourselves, probably one of 3 dozen in all of town. Even our garden centers say that most of their customers are professional landscapers or gardeners. I haven't planted zuchinni since the night when as a newlywed I served my hubby zuchinni bread, zuchinni frittata, zuchinni soup, zuchinni smoothie (it was pretty good!), no, we didn't have a zuchinni cake, & my husband ate it all & asked me never to make anything with zuchinni again. :-) sonia

I change my patch in a bit here and that one is the 75 so lets hope I get a little more relief than with this 50.. I did before when I was on it so lets hope it helps this time too. Anyhow... I don't see me going anywhere today/tonight so whenever you feel up to it I'll be here, if I don't get the phone right away call back as I may not be able to get to it right away. Guest guest
Hello Barbara, I'm going to do my 3rd shot tomorrow, today I will have more bloodwork done. Wow, I'm surprised that they follow it so closely. I heard they did but...I had no idea. I hope everything goes as well as the past two shots. Rhonda, drink your water! Bob, I'm sorry to hear about your dad. Diane, I'm sorry I'm no help about the calcium deposits. Keep asking questions. This is a great group here, please come back. BTW my doc said he doesn't don't even bother testing monogomous partners of Hep C patients. It's so uncommon to transmit it. LynnHey Lynn!My sides are changing from week to week. Last week I had a migraine. I usually have body aches and a fever everyday. Not a bad fever, only a degree or two up from normal. Just enough to make me feel a little achy. I take a couple of Tylenol and I feel better. Water really does make a difference. I'm tired, but that's ok. Also, my hip aches alot. I feel very fortunate. I"m getting ready to take my 5th shot, so we'll see what happens tomorrow!! Nothing I hope since I have a doctors appointment. I'm glad to hear you are doing well. Keep a positive attitude and the time will fly by in no time!Barbara
Guest guest
, Where are you located? What docs are you seeing? Perhaps someone on here will know of a doc who can help you. What methods have you tried? Many methods don't work for a lot of people. For example, transdermal methods don't work for me at all. If you have tried injections, what dosage and frequency have you tried? I was orignally put on 200mg once a month and it did not help at all. But that is the " standard " dose, so that is what I was put on by docs that didn't know much about hypoG. I am now at 200mg every 10 days and have seen some improvement. Even then, I still have relapses. For example, I have basically felt like I've had the flu since last thurs. Some of that may be due to the fact that I have issues besides hypoG (which may be your case as well). What symptoms are you experiencing besides ED? In my case I have been diagnosed with CFS, probably due largely to a dysfunctioning hypothalamus. They speculate that the hypoG is a result of whatever this CFS process is. Guest guest
Hi Scot, or I am new to the 'hypo' site, but not new to sites of this type. Your message has concerned me as I have spent many years 'trusting' 'Proffesionals' until I decided that I know what is best for MY body. Could you please explain to me your situation in the hope that I or others will be able to help you. martin Tc 1994 Testicular Atrophy 2002 > > i just want to say im giving up on trying to find help for my hypo > and ed. nothing i tried works. the doctors cant seem to help and want > to send me to more expensive doctors up north. my insurance dosent > accept many things i have claimed. just dont know what to do any > more. only option seems a implant and just forget trt all together > because my body dosent seem to respond to it. > thanks for the help through the months, > steven( or scott) > wish you all the best! Guest guest
Are you sure you were receiving injections with proper timing and dosage? I got no response when this was done incorrectly (i assumed they knew what they were doing and that it wasn't an answer to my problems), but I have when the frequency and overall amount was increased. Mark > ill try.im 31,i have ed and hypo from unknown causes.my uro thinks i have avenous leak in penis. i have tried all forms of testosterone therapy, while pellets raised the numbers some, none of the treatments made me feel better. i tried every form of ed aid and none helped. thats it basically. >
Guest guest
I have all those too. I'm also diagnosed with CFS. Not sure how much is due to either or both, but I have gotten some relief with proper T therapy. It needs to be fairly aggresive to get results though, at least for me. Right now I am on 200mg every 10 days. I will be getting more before and after blood tests in the next few weeks. Depending on those results, I might try and talk my doc into 150mg every 7 days. Mark > i have tried everything except fetility drugs.i have been to fancy doctors.it seems i just cant be helped. i have the normal symptoms and some " odd " ones. low, energy, bad memory, brain fog...etc >
Guest guest
I think Bruce is right here. I don't know much about Dr. , but his treatment protocol makes a lot of sense to me. In fact, I presented it to my GP/CFS doc and I'm hoping he will like it too. He doesn't know much about hormones but seems to be willing to learn. I don't think his prices are supposed to be too bad, and he does everything remotely unless you live in Michigan, I think. Check him out at http://allthingsmale.com/. Worth a shot. From what others have said he is very reponsive. I've thought about making the trip to MI to see him myself if things don't work out here (I'm in IL). Mark > addressed? Guest guest
Phil, I was going by the contact info on his website. It also says on his website " If you need a physical exam, because you cannot provide me with a copy of a current physical, we can get that taken care of by your own local doctor. Michigan residents must be personally seen by me. I can order your labs from here, or your own local doctor can have them done (if they are willing). " Not sure if that is up to date or not. Guest guest
Helen, Allie is on meds, with swollen joints. But everyone else was tested and we are negative. Could be someone at school, who knows. But for now we are doing ok. The hardest part has been her pain. My kid never complains of pain, and she has had a tough couple of weeks. I am hoping this round of drugs will knock this out of her system, and we will be on the mend. We visit the eye doctor tomorrow morning. She has never had eye problems, and hopefully this will be the same. Thanks for thinking of us! I hope you have a better week! and Allie (8 poly) ________________________________ From: hburger64 [mailto:hburger64@...] Sent: Wednesday, February 02, 2005 5:40 PM Subject: Hey Hows Allie doing with the strep and did you find out anything more.. did you all have to be tested to see if someones a carrier??? thinking of you guys.. Guest guest
Alia, I guess it is good because she is back at school. She was really bummed this morning because she had to go to the eye DR., and they are going sliding for gym. Really I think it will be mud...after this weather, but you can't convince a 8 year old of that. Her ankles were bothering her, as well as her wrist. I just hate this crap, and I hate when she hurts. Yesterday she came home from school and just cried. For no apparent reason just cried ...20 minutes. I asked her if she hurt, and the answer was an emphatic " no. " She seemed better last night...then she told me her ankles hurt. I will be glad when old man winter disappears, and we can get hopefully go back to normal? Scary word isn't it? Anyway, you guys take care! I have read lots of posts, and it sounds like Caroline is feeling better!
