Guest guest
Edie, thanks for the support. This is why I love this group so much cause the people here can understand what I am going through. Sometimes I get depressed and say 'why me' when I see people around me with so much energy. Then I think maybe they are sick and just not saying anything. None of my family is aware of how sick I have been. I was reading an article today in the Pittsburgh newspaper about a Pilot that is 42 and diagnosed with early alzheimers. He was also taking that medicine that I was taking. I know he has candida overgrowth. You know I guess people don't want to beleive in this disease cause doctors don't acknowledge it. I conversed with a lady who said she had had chronic fatigue for 15 years. I told her about candida. She was very very skeptical. I have so many family members that are sick and they only need to be on this program. My doctor once told me because my MOM died at 51 of a massive heart attack I was at risk. That never made sense to me cause my mom , bless her heart, died early cause she had a very unhealthy lifestyle and weight. What does that have to do with me? It also makes sense why I had heart and kidney failure cause like Bee says, candida toxins makes the cells stiff, and if the cells are stiff they obviously can't function. My doctor fired me cause I wouldn't take his poison that helped give me heart and kidney failure in the first place. I have chosen not to see any doctors. My urination has increased,I am losing weight, and I am not retaining fluids, therefore my kidneys must be working. I no longer have those awful every other beat PVC's. SO my heart is healing too )) I just got to work on this blood pressure. Phyllis > > > There is hope. I was at a point where I could not remember where I had parked or even how to get home. Guest guest
Yes Berni, and I'm sure there are many others on the list who are experiencing what you are. It does suck, because you can feel pretty down at first, and for me, extremely tired. I was relieved when Bee said recently that she had fatigue really bad at first too. I am so happy to have the people on this list for support! -----Original Message----- I feel so much better, not that other people are suffering, but that I at least know why my brain is skipping on me. I was getting really down and depressed wondering what was up with me.. At times I used to think I am just really stupid cos I could not recall something I said or did 2 seconds prior. I am glad to have this support system, it makes the whole experience that much more bearable. Thanks, Berni.
Guest guest
Hi, Rhoda Well sure guys are into electronics. But here on this group, there are probably MORE women doing this than guys. Why? Women find themselves often in caregiving roles. Men like the gadgets, I know I do. But women are the key to the success of this, and they do most of the work here, too. Rowena, to name one, has done tons for it. Sure we had to bite the bullet and get the technology down. The first godzilla I built was more like a stun gun, it knocked me off my chair. That was a LONG time ago, and as a result, the devices you see here are ESPECIALLY nice. Believe me, I learned to design them to be easy and mild on people, having gotten shocks and 3rd degree burns from the early experiments. You are not going to have to put up with that! Women are the key to getting this out there and applied. I know this for a fact. Men will mess with it endlessly but not usually apply it to people's problems..see? There's always exceptions, of course. In my case, I bridge the gaps and get you devices, and technology to use, along with the men who help us figure it all out. But it's women who get it done. You women were there for us before we even HAD doctors. You're in the right place now, at the right time. Go for it. bG > > *I don't think my problem is because directions are especially unclear. Guest guest
Hi Ann, Even though you are born with eyes you have to "teach" your eyes to see. Think of it as connecting the cables to the brain. If you don't connect the wiring to the brain the brain doesn't think an eye is there which is why you have 'lazy' or 'wandering' eyes. You have a window of time to teach and/or improve the vision which is why it's important to patch early and for the recommended amount of time. It's difficult to get the right measurement to lift the lids because the patient is asleep so you may want to consider using surgical tape to lift the lid which is a trick another parent used. I wish I had known about it before doing the additional surgery on my son as he has teary eyes, which may be normal for him but also may be because he has dry eyes as a result of his bleph. We have put off the more serious plastic surgery until he is older and his face has matured. (now 11 1/2). Hope this helps. el. She is 2 1/2 years old. She does just fine with it. We got her the Ortopads for girls (they come with girly designs on them, they have them for boys too). I personally have not noticed a difference since she has been wearing them (other than she is clutzier than ever!), but her Dr. saw her today and said she is now opening her weaker eye and additional millimeter more than 3 weeks ago. Her stronger eye now opens 1 millimeter less, but her Dr. does not seem concerned about that. Her Dr. keeps bringing up the possibility of another surgery to raise her lids higher (she just had her 2nd surgery Feb 9th), but I don't think our surgeon is too keen on that idea. He doesn't want to do too much since she is still so little and her face is still changing. We won't find anything more out for another few weeks. Just thought I would let you know, we are just as confused as you are! You are definitely not alone! Ann Colorado USA Live connected. Get Hotmail Messenger for mobile. Guest guest
Patching has helped my daughter's weaker eye considerably, we only patched 30 every other day, and it helped a lot. Glasses also helped, and wearing the glasses all the time, from wake up to bedtime, made a big difference. I am 39 and still have a lazy eye, without my glasses it's quite noticeable and I just completely "ignore" my left eye and use only my right. Lazy eye is very common and most ped optham are good about knowing how to patch, right RX for glasses, etc., From: E. Guest guest
Thank you to everyone who has replied about this. It is good to know we are not alone and that is may help him to use his weaker eye more. He wears his glasses all the time, but the unequal vision was with a new prescription which is why the optometrist was concerned I think. Thanks again Caroline > > > From: E.
