Joan,

Do you mean the daily digest? I haven't heard of a "daily welcome communication", but that doesn't mean I haven't missed it somewhere along the line.

Let me know and I will do my best to help.

You can ask ONELIST to remember you, and will only have to do this one time.To unsubscribe, send email to -unsubscribeonelistYou may substitute "subscribe", or "digest" or "normal" forthe word "unsubscribe" ("normal" is the opposite of "digest"). Leave blank both the message and subject header.

Dear Joan,

I am not sure why this is happening, if you are on the digest

method of delivery, you should be receiving a list of posts by

subject, followed by the messages themselves. Should this occur

again please forward to me the post that shows subjects only and I

will send to egroups to find out what is happening. In the meantime

you can read posts you miss at the archives, here is the site:

/group/lyme-aid

Scroll the page up, look for archives, click on the month, and read

the posts, you can jump to the end of the posts by keying in the

number of the post, kind of have to guess but it does work.

Hugs,

Marta

My question for you, who diagnosed them with tort and plag? If they were diagnosed with it and they have it then I'd say go for it hun! They are 8 months old which is a little older than they like to start the bands BUT it's NOT to late meaning the younger the better but they WILL still see correction! Kaitlyn was banded at almost 8 months and has seen great correction! What does your heart and gut tell you? Will your insurance pay for the helmets or will you have to pay out of pocket? If it were me I'd get the ball rolling and get them banded. We noticed Kaitlyns tort when she was 4 months old, we saw 3 PT's before we found a good one, she is the one who noticed her plag as I had no idea what plagiocephaly was! Unfortunately it took 3 1/2 months of fighting with our insurance company to get her banded (long story about that, I swear they are dumber than a box of rocks there! They kept giving me names of

feeding tubes specialists, hand surgeons, pediatric surgeons, NO DUH I NEED a cranial facial specialist/plastic surgeon, UGH! He is the one who had to give the yes or no to get banded per the insurance company AFTER many fights with them because he is the ONLY one in Michigan that deals with this but they were trying to say no he isn't the only one, well finally after many months guess who was right? ME!) So once we got the yes from him it was smooth sailing. I wish you the best of luck and if you need anything this is a great place to ask any questions! Bobbi, mommy to Kaitlyn , 1 years old! TorT (resolved but still need to do exercises), plag-banded on 12-15-05 STARlight bi-valve Michigantammylynn2373 <tlsnyder@...> wrote: Our 8

month old twins (born 6 weeks early) have both been diagnosed with Plagio, as well as tort (varying degrees in each baby). Our PT is pushing the bands/helmets, however we have been to see a Pediatric Neurosurgeon specializing in cranio/facial issues and he feels that they will grow out of it, he has asked to see them in a few months to check progress. He did say that they both had varying degrees of Plagio and Tort, but appeared up to their age group with everything else. We are doing what the PT has recommended for the Plagio and Tort, however we are very confused as to what to belive. Should we go on what the Specialist says or the PT?

Recently they started having us patch Catalina (about 3 weeks now). She is 2 1/2 years old. She does just fine with it. We got her the Ortopads for girls (they come with girly designs on them, they have them for boys too). I personally have not noticed a difference since she has been wearing them (other than she is clutzier than ever!), but her Dr. saw her today and said she is now opening her weaker eye and additional millimeter more than 3 weeks ago. Her stronger eye now opens 1 millimeter less, but her Dr. does not seem concerned about that. Her Dr. keeps bringing up the possibility of another surgery to raise her lids higher (she just had her 2nd surgery Feb 9th), but I don't think our surgeon is too keen on that idea. He doesn't want to do too much since she is still so little and her

face is still changing. We won't find anything more out for another few weeks.

Just thought I would let you know, we are just as confused as you are! You are definitely not alone!
