Guest guest
My son is going to have his first surgery in August where they will cut the slits in the inner canthus. So I have some questions. First, I was wondering if this is painful? His doctor assured me that it is only soft tissue, so it will not hurt, but I am concerned that he will be in a lot of pain. Also, the second surgery will be 6 weeks after the first. It will be the " sling " procedure. Can anyone tell me if they or their children have experienced any pain after the second surgery too. Also, if any people who did not have the surgery when they were young can tell me if they have experience any arthritis in the neck? The doctor told me if we did not get the surgeries, he would have arthritis in his neck from his head tilt. My husband and I do not notice a head tilt, but the MD thinks he has about a 10% tilt. Thank you in advance for your answers.
Guest guest
My Daughter is 3 1/2 years old and just had both the surgeries your son will be having done in aug, only she had hers at the same time. This was done 8 days ago and she is doing great she looks good and was never really in alot of pain even though she looked like she had gotten in a fight and lost. if you send me an email with your personel email adress i will send you the pics of right after surgery and the next day i will take a pic of her today as well. my email is Hbarga@.... The hardest moment was when the Drs let us in the recovery room she was crying for me and she looked so horrible it took the nurses what seemed like an eternity to get her unhooked enough to sit on my lap, were she slept the rest of the time we were there. The Dr gave us Tylonol with codiene in it for her, which she never needed so the pain most not of been that bad. she is the type that will cry for hours over a little boo boo. Hope this helps. blepharophimosis From: sarah.ortiz2476@...Date: Sun, 25 Apr 2010 21:15:55 +0000Subject: blepharophimosis Questions about the surgery My son is going to have his first surgery in August where they will cut the slits in the inner canthus.
