hello! i'm a 16 year old girl from scotland, uk. right now i'm trying to find

out more about the condition me, my brother and my dad have - BPES. i'm

currently considering surgery (i don't know if it's too late for me though) and

i'm going to visit my genetics doctor over summer to talk about fertility

problems etc. i don't have any problems with having BPES apart from sensitivity

to light, excessive tearing and i am short sighted and have to wear glasses

Hello, me and my daughter (14) have BPES, and when she was little we took her to see a genetic counsellor in great ormand street hospital in London. We were told that often tear ducts are effected, my daughter (emy) has double on one side, which means it is watering a lot. I also know that if someone has dry eyes (which can be assocated with BPES) eyes water lots too.

I have heard that Depending on which type you have of BPES, fertility issues arise. I have had 2 children.

Where would you be having your ops, we both had ours done in London at Moorfields. Please feel free to mail back if you want to ask anything.
