Guest guest
I will pray. I lost a baby to an ectopic, not only tubal, pregnancy in 1986. I do hope that it is possible, and if not, that the miraculous is granted.PennyOn Tue, May 8, 2012 at 9:40 AM, Davenport <mdavmd@...> wrote: There is a woman (physician) in Toronto who may have a living ectopic pregnancy and may want a tubal/intrauterine embryo transfer. But if this had to go thru more normal channels in my hospital I don't think it would have been possible. The concept and transfer are experimental but the surgery not really experimental (salpingotomy and myotomy). Others I know have attempted this, namely Hilgers and Mark Stegman. Anyone else?I think it is the logical life-saving operation if it could ever work. There are two reported successful cases in the literature.I thought of Dr. Pivarunas in Buffalo and have a call in to him.It may turn out to be a false alarm as the diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy is not certain at this time. Guest guest
: Can you give more detail on 2 cases in literature is there a review? It might be better to plan protocol, consent and permission in advance, while no one has their emotions in an uproar. One could have a written policy. Then when iot comes up-look we have a policy, there are procedures we perform routinely, just not usually together maybe we could have a standard policy and consent that would seem easier to swallow It was suggested to me by an attorney It is much easier to get someone to agree to something when it stills seems a remote future possibility that seems unlikely Paddy Jim Baggot MD From: sonoharry@...Date: Tue, 8 May 2012 10:16:33 -0500Subject: Re: URGENT - ectopic pregnancy I will pray.
