Guest guest
Hiya Good luck for Tuesday. Let me know if you would like to meet up on Monday for a coffee … to say “hello”, and have a chat. I am sure you will be fine. You might find that your leg is more sore than your eyes. Joyce’s daughters thought that, I believe – correct me if I am wrong, Joyce. I don’t think you’ll be too bruised, but only your surgeon can tell you that. Do you find the sunlight generally a bit bright for you? I do. Maybe make sure you have a decent hat, and good sunglasses. Do tell us how it goes … remember that for lots of mums and dads, they’ll be so keen to hear from you, especially if their young ones are having treatment, and they’ll be concerned of their kids. Hey guys, Well, I'm FINALLY getting my operation on Tuesday, and I'm kind of freaking out right now, the thought of scars is scaring me half to death haha. So Im getting the surgery that takes skin from my leg and its put into the eyelids (if all goes well)Im going to London for it anyway, Harley Street Clinic to be exact. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone who has had the operation before has any advice? It would be REALLY appreciated, because I've never been so scared! Are the scars bad? Will I look bruised for weeks? What's it like after? Sorry for all the mad questions, it's just so scary! It's weird how emotional it's been, Im a 15 year old emotional wreck right now haha. Thanks Guys x x x x x x x x x x
Guest guest
Hey Maeve, I had my ops at 14 and 15. I remember it well. The bruising didnt last long, looked like eyeshadow for a bit. I remember my leg being sore, but my eyes were not too bad. The scaring on my eyes I dont even notice dont think there is any actually, and on my leg, it is white, and not that long. Everything you are feeling is absolutely ok, nervous, scared, excited, weird, emotional etc etc. Be thinking of you Tuesday. Guest guest
Hello There All the best for Tuesday. Shireen is right my girls complained more of the leg pain than their eye lids. My Daughter [Mayowa] is about the same age as you [just turned 16] so if you want a chat you can send an e-mail via the group or send to my email address. joyceaibitoye@...
