does any one who knows about use oinment

hi,everyone: my daughter had BPES, she had done the second surgery on october 2009. It has been half a year since she's second surgery. She recover very well. After the second surgery,every night before she sleep ,she used oinment to her eyes. Because the doctor said her eyes cannot colse well ,the oinment can help protecting the eyes. And the doctor suggests she can stop using the oinment when she feel ok,but the doctor did not give the exactly timetable. so i am worry about when could she stop uesing oinment. We live in beijing, the weather here is dry . Does anyone has the experience for using oinment after the second surgery. how long for you useing the oinment? what brand or what kind of oinment do you use? anna
