Birthday greetings

Happy birthday, Sharon. I'm glad your got your year back. It is so good of

you to spread your joy to the rest of us. Not all of us got their groove back,

but we can still be happy along with you. LOL

I hope your drive to Point Reyes will provide you with a pleasant meal for you

and Denny. Oysters are also my favorite food and they always give me heartburn.

We have seasons for them here, any month with an " r " is a good month. In May,

June, July and August, they are milky and not as tasty, but it doesn't stop me

from eating them. I love to make Oysters Bienville. I save the best shells,

clean them, soak them in bleach and then put them through the dishwasher. Then

the raw oysters go into the half shell on a bed of rock salt in the broiler to

get the juice out of them, then dump the juice, put the oysters back in and pour

the sauce over them and broil. The sauce is labor intensive, but well worth the

effort.
