Yeah everyone is different. My side effects started to show about a little

less than a week on Gleevec. Then they lessened and I thought they were

going away then they came back a month later. My main effects were nausea,

bone pain, fatigue, and swelling around the eyes. So far the only one that

has lessened since is the eye swelling. When the eye swelling first started

they would be swelled shut when I woke in the morning and I would have to

use Ice packs to bring the swelling down. I looked like I had just gotten

out of the ring with Mike Tyson..lol. Now the eye swelling is pretty much

the only side effect that has lessened much. As as been said before there

are some that have little to no side effects, some have them then they go

away or lessen, some have them but they can be managed by other medication,

and then some cannot even tolerate Gleevec period. So like Sharon said, and

as strange as it sounds it is true. Gleevec effects people differently.

Granny seems to be balding. Has anyone had that on the Gleevec? She is looking

into getting a wig.

Well so far I have not noticed any hair loss. I am a 42 male with long hair,

that seems to be the only thing that was not effected when I became ill. I

grew it out when I got out of the military and tried to become a rock

star..lol. I even dyed it black up until last year. I stopped figuring I

should not push my luck with my hair. I do believe hair loss can be a side

effect but I am not certain. That is the thing, if she is on Gleevec it

effects so many people differently it gets hard to tell.

my already thinning hair did not fall out, but did it lighten up on Gleevec.

Even my Onc noticed and commented several times.

Never thought I would say this, Sprycell is making me grateful for how good

I did not feel on Gleevec. Stopping Gleevec was not about side effects, but

loss of effectiveness. I am so miserable on Sprycell. But, tomorrow is

another day and am hopeful it will be better than today.

Cheers,

Chris

At the beginning my hair was coming out in gobs, but since I have enough for

five people, no one noticed. It used to be straight now it's terribly frizzy.

Terry,'See that is one thing that I really hate! You get side effects and

they give you other medications to treat it. I do not believe that taking

other medication is good while you are on Gleevec, Sprycel or Tasigna. Of

course some people have to I understand that but I think that before I would

take other meds to get rid of the side effects I would go off Gleevec and

wait two weeks then go onto something else. That is basically what my

Doctors did for me. And it worked so far. There is a medication out there

that will work for you and so many more in the pipeline .Mixing medications

is one of my pet peeves. I saw how my mom died and I truly believe it had a

lot to do with all the meds she was taking.

When I was on Gleevec I lost a lot of hair and all my eyebrows and

eyelashes. But when I stopped gleevec it all came back. Although now being

on Tasigna my hair is thinning a lot but not like when on Gleevec. At first

it came in thicker then about two months ago I noticed it starting to thin.

But I think it has now stopped.

You should be nervous because you don't have any idea what you are

getting into. Read Jim Humble's books before you do anything.

Diarrhea is not a side effect of MMS. It occurs when there is a herx

reaction (die off)... two different things. Go slowly, do your home

work, and know what you are doing before you take anything as powerful

as MMS.

Hello,

My brother bought me MMS for

treating HIV. After reading several posts and their complaint being

diarrhea, I have become quite skeptical. I was due to start tomorrow

but I am becoming nervous, seeing that I am very busy during my

days. What are the other side effects to worry about? How long will

they last?

Thanks

You cannot overdose as you will get diahrea or/and nausea. In that case cut back

to one drop for as long as it takes. You do not need to start today, so do enjoy

listening to his video and researching how to give yourself the best with MMS.

Start with one drop.
